Obama's First 4 Years:

                                                 Gasoline Prices

Quoted Text
Gasoline prices have remained volatile, but have yet to equal the record $4.11 national average
price for regular that was seen in July 2008 under George W BUsh.

The price when Obama first took office was an unusually low $1.85 per gallon, held down  by the
worldwide economic recession he inherited. It later more than doubled to a high of $3.97, in May
2011. Last week it was $3.54, an increase of 92 percent since he first took office, but still well short
of the Bush record.

Yes Bush implemented the Patriot Act but Obama took the law to limits it was never supposed to be used for.

Who would of thought.. box backing big oil after months of bashing them. Seems the green energy Obama was pushing didn't go so well so now he is taking the oil boom and trying to give Obama credit for it LMAO

An Obama accomplishment in producing more domestic oil is just that... an accomplishment.  One that
Failed Oil Man (Arbusto Oil) G Worst Bush, failed miserably.
Wind Power and Solar have also grown under Obama (A more admirable accomplishment).
Which brings us to the next,
THANK YOU PRESIDENT OBAMA:

                                           Wind and Solar Power

Quoted Text
The amount of electricity generated from wind and solar power has now increased
157 percent since the year before Obama took office, according to the latest figures from
the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Wind and solar still account for only a small fraction of all electricity, but the share has  more
than doubled. It has grown from 1.4 percent of all electricity in 2008 to 3.6 percent during
the 12 months ending in January, the most recent period for which EIA gives figures.

Nice try but I remember sitting through months of attacks on the oil companies, bashing their regulations, bashing their profits, bashing anything to do with big oil. Now all a sudden you are taking his failed attacks and trying to spin it to a accomplishment, yeah right

Besides the fact that Big Oil is sucking the taxpayer dry, much of our tax dollars going to Middle East states
who fund terror attacks against us, and is still continuing.
The less we buy middle east oil, the less we support middle east terrorist attacks.

I also oppose many wind power projects and fracking... but, like big oil, they are a fact of life.

Obama's First 4 Years:
Also on the subject of Oil Imports:

                                                       Fuel Economy

Quoted Text
According to the University of Michigan’s Transportation Research Institute, the average
EPA city/highway sticker mileage of light duty vehicles sold in March was 24.6 miles per gallon.
That’s a record. And it’s 17 percent better than the 21.0 mpg for vehicles sold in January 2009,
when Obama first took office.

As the old vehicles are replaced with new, smaller, more efficient vehicles, the mpg number is bound to go up...

But, The EPA mileage stats are a fantasy...
My 2008 4cyl Jeep SUV gets an average of 21MPG highway in the summer and about 18-19mpg during the winter. It was EPA rated a 21 city 24 highway. My wifes 2012 4cyl SUV is epa rated at 21 city 29 highway...On a long trip this spring to Myrtle beach, the best it got was 22mpg.

We could get even more mpg if we stopped using Ethanol in the fuel. Cars now have the technology to oxygenate to the same levels that ethanol provides...that is what ethanol was sold on...lowering emissions..ethanol is obsolete...it uses more energy to process than it saves....but it is a cash-cow to far too many people and the govt goes along with its requirements and subsidizing...instead of phasing it out, they are talking about e15...which has a shorter shelf life and will do more damage to fuel systems

Drive slower.
Don't be overweight.
Don't drive over hills or mountains.
Using 4-wheel drive reduces fuel economy. Four-wheel drive vehicles are EPA tested in 2-wheel drive.
Running electrical accessories (e.g., air conditioner) decreases fuel economy.
Operating the air conditioner on "Max" can reduce MPG by roughly 5–25% compared to not using it.

Drive slower.  My wife was driving the posted speed limit for the majority of the trip
Don't be overweight. She weighs a "heavy" 126lbs
Don't drive over hills or mountains. Can't control that, another reason the EPA estimate is BS
Using 4-wheel drive reduces fuel economy. Four-wheel drive vehicles are EPA tested in 2-wheel drive.
Car has all wheel drive, you can't put it into 2wd, so they couldn't have tested it that way. the estimates for the 2wd  only drive model were 24/32
Running electrical accessories (e.g., air conditioner) decreases fuel economy.
Operating the air conditioner on "Max" can reduce MPG by roughly 5–25% compared to not using it.
Mileage was measured on two 60-65 degree days in late April.

The EPA estimates are only there to compare to other cars, to use them as a real number is useless

just like cholesterol numbers and those statin drugs to lower the numbers.....it requires a BIGGER picture...the 'experts'
only tell the 'scary things' that appear to have answers to fix it given by themselves....not all bad but CERTAINLY not
fool proof by any means.

...thank you for tapping my phone, I am glad to have you put a camera in my house if you would like, Lord Obama. I know only evil Bush would misuse the "right" to spy on me. You would do no harm, since you are my Lord.
