The Weimar Republic residents had a lot of money too.

So did Howard Hughes,
and
So does Warren Buffett
and
so does Bill Gates...
but that has nothing to do with the fact that disposable personal income tanked under
G Worst Bush and rose under Barack Hussein Obama.

Young Republicans Warming to Obamacare

Quoted Text
“Obamacare may have become a partisan issue, but more Republicans than Democrats
have signed up for one of its most popular provisions,” NBC News reports.

“One of the most popular provisions of the law lets people age 26 and younger stay on their
parents’ health insurance… They found that by last March, 63 percent of young adults
identifying as Republicans had enrolled in a parent’s health plan in the last 12 months,
compared to 45 percent of those who considered themselves Democrats.”

From those Young Republicans, Thank You President Barack Hussein Obama!

Americans got fat and lazy

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

You're comparing apples to oranges.
IMO, the poor are much worse off than before the Bush Economic Meltdown, but that wasn't what my
post was about.

From the Link Posted Above:

In its August report, the BEA revised a bunch of a measures including DPI,
which was "revised up for 1929-2007, down for 2008, and up for 2009-2012". That
means essentially that Americans have had more money in their pockets for most of
the last 84 years than originally thought.

Why upward? Mostly because of "revisions to supplements (specifically, employer
contributions for employee pension and insurance funds) for 1929-1975, for
1989-2002, and for 2004-2011. A number of other definitional and statistical
changes affected the revisions to personal income". Put another way, employers
were giving more to benefit packages for its employees than originally thought.

You're right... You posted what they thought Americans felt and I posted the cold, hard facts...

The quote in your post

“It goes a long way in explaining in why President Obama won last year…  Americans had
more money than we thought
, and growth was better coming off of a more depressed 2008
than originally believed.”

“For explaining elections… disposable income growth over the course of a president’s term
continues to do a pretty good job.
If people have more money in their pockets, they’re more
likely to reward the party in power.”

-----------------------------------------------------

The facts don't bear that out...the facts are when adjusted for inflation, the average American household has less total income now than when the recession officially ended.

Republicans again attempt to force their will on the majority of America

Quoted Text
A new Kaiser Health Tracking Poll released today found that Republicans are
on the wrong course again, as 57% of respondents oppose their efforts to defund
Obamacare.

‘Lower Than Expected’ Obamacare Premiums

A new Kaiser Family Foundation study found “lower than expected” premiums for the new
Obamacare health insurance exchanges.

“While premiums will vary significantly across the country, they are generally lower than
expected. For example, we estimate that the latest projections from the Congressional
Budget Office imply that the premium for a 40-year-old in the second lowest cost silver
plan would average $320 per month nationally. Fifteen of the eighteen rating areas we
examined have premiums below this level, suggesting that the cost of coverage for consumers
and the federal budgetary cost for tax credits will be lower than anticipated.”

Thank You President Barack Hussein Obama!

It Takes A Government (To Make A Market)

Quoted Text
Paul Krugman explains why it is no surprise that President Obama’s health care reform
law is pushing down health insurance premiums.

“Until now there has been sort of a market — but one that…is riddled with problems. It was very
hard for individuals to figure out what they were buying… Price and quality comparisons were
near-impossible. Under these conditions the magic of the marketplace couldn’t work — there
really wasn’t a proper market.”

“With the ACA, however, insurers operate under clear ground rules, with clearly defined grades
of plan and discrimination banned. The result, suddenly, is that we have real market competition.”

Thanks again President Barack Hussein Obama!

I'm sure the government subsidies for applicants that are below the poverty level and up to 400% above it make no difference in the cost of insurance...
The costs are just being transferred to an entity already hopelessly in debt.. The only way out is cutting spending and/or higher taxes... same old, same old...

90,473,000: Record Number Not in Labor Force--Up Almost 10M Under Obama
September 6, 2013 - 9:42 AM

(CNSNews.com) - The number of Americans who are 16 years or older and who have decided not to participate in the nation's labor force has pushed past 90,000,000 for the first time, according to data released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The BLS counts a person as participating in the labor force if they are 16 years or older and either have a job or have actively sought a job in the last four weeks. A person is not participating in the labor force if they are 16 or older and have not sought a job in the last four weeks.

In July, according to BLS, 89,957,000 Americans did not participate in the labor force. In August, that climbed to 90,473,000--a one month increase of 516,000.

I wouldn't trust those Republican vs. Democrat statistics too much, because I don't really believe that people are being asked about party affiliation in great numbers when they add someone to their private insurance, but it only stands to reason that people who have young adult children without private insurance, but who have such insurance themselves, would find it prudent to enroll that person under their plan given the chance, given the lack of any real health care reform in this country. That is what Obama promised, health care reform, and that is what he didn't bother to do, instead doing another thingand saying he did what he said he would do. Similar to how he came up with this "red line" business himself and now is saying he didn't. No matter, he will lie and blame someone else, probably Republicans. It is all good anyway, because it is providing cover for the disastrous implementation of this bogus health care reform. Do you think those brothers on Elm Street signed on to their parents' plans yet? Who is going to pay for their gunshot treatment? Who pays even if they do go on someone else's plan? Does insurance pay for the whirly-bird rides? And how do hospitals like Ellis, given that there are all these people unable to afford their services, keep expanding and swallowing entire neighborhoods? How did this Berger Commission save anybody any money, closing two hospitals yet keeping them open? It seems to me that finding answers to these questions, real answers, would have been "health care reform".
We have riots on Becker Street, but the country is doing fine. Yep.

The figures aren't from a Republican source they're from the BLS or Bureau of Labor Stats, you know our own government posts them.

I'm talking about the survey NBC referred to about democrat vs. republican signing on to Obamacare, and further reading shows that the survey was useless, and even if it was a more scientific survey, it wouldn't be used on the news because they tell outright lies all the time to cover up for the fact that they don't look in depth at issues to find out what is really going on. Or if they do, they leave out what doesn't fit their storyline. Then you've got the PC filter, as well.
