I do stand and did stand for what is right.
Your problem is not with Veterans, it's with the Government.
Hate them and leave us alone.

I was looking through threads and
I simply cannot find where you are bitching about disabled people getting
as much as a 50% exemption, as well as Government funds for making
their homes handicap accessible.  And before you question me,
I DON'Y HAVE ANY ISSUE WITH THE DISABLED GETTING EVERYTHING THEY ARE AFFORDED.

Are you saying veteran exemptions are because they are handicapped?

If Henry really wants to keep things (as he says) EQUAL, then Henry should do some time in the
military in a combat zone, to EQUAL things out.
If Henry wants things "EQUAL" then Henry should subject himself to an "EQUAL" danger serving his
country to earn those medical benefits to treat his wounds.

It is equal box, I volunteered for the work I do and you volunteered for the work you did. I won't volunteer to kill someone on orders who did me no harm or threatened my freedom, that might be your thing but it is not mine. And spare me the danger aspect of it, more people die in my profession then in law enforcement every year, I don't cry about it or fight for special privileges because of it. To me it is a job nothing else, I know the dangers I signed up for and I take full responsibility over my actions.

Henry and Cicero are "ME" people.  They take care of themselves and screw everyone else...
(Until they are the ones needing help, then they cry like little babies for someone to HELP THEM)

They are willing to live under the benefits of this system, but don't ask them to contribute any dollars,
effort or sweat to the cause.

It's difficult to understand the 'haters' position until you read posts like this.  "I Volunteered"...
yea right!  More like I took what I could and gave nothing to others.
I Took my education... don't ask me to help anyone else with theirs.  In fact, I'll cut theirs now that
I got mine.
I took the infrastructure of the State of NY or of the Federal Govt... Don't ask me to fund the next
generation of bridges or roads.  Screw those in the future... I got mine!

It's a recurring theme in these type of people.  As posted below:

I receive no benefits box and I openly stated numerous times I don't want help at someone else's expense. If I wanted to I could go down tomorrow and get food stamps and section 8 and I would be qualified, but I won't. I know this is hard for you to grasp someone who lived on the governments tit for so long but it is true.

"Lived on the govt's tit for so long"???
Really Henry?
When was that?
I've been working since I was 11 years old.  All in the private sector, other than my time in the Marines.
Do you really consider the USMC as "Living off the govt tit"?

I paid my own way and everything I have I earned.  I enjoy the benefits of being an American
citizen.  Public education, good infrastructure, a caring nation for those less fortunate than
myself.  When I pay my taxes, I want good value for my dollar, and I want that money to go to
good programs that help our country.  I don't whine about paying my taxes like you and Cissy...

I wouldn't whine either if I got a 25% discount

This could be your funniest post!!! Talk about pot meeting kettle!  It is YOU AND JOEBXR making the superior moral justification for selfishness.  You are justifying that YOU should receive a 25% tax exemption from your property tax, so YOU can have MORE money in YOUR pocket.  SCREW EVERYBODY ELSE - YOU DESERVE IT!

It is Henry and I that are calling you on your self absorbed moral superiority.

It was your analogy.  I just pointed out how ridiculous it was.

Where CISSY...tell me W H E R E !!!!
I already answered a question about my position versus others...go back and read that.
I'm not superior to others and not inferior either. Your pompous attitude clearly
defines where you fit.
Yes, I get a tax break, just like many others get tax breaks, but you focus on Military and Veterans.
Check it out and look at the tax breaks for Firemen, Policemen, State Employees, Washington
employees and politicians, foreign workers, etc.  But your focus....MILITARY!!! Gotta believe it has to
do with your history and a grudge you have held for years.
Do you really hate that much!  Channel your hatred into something positive.
Why are you afraid to have these same discussions in a social setting and express your position and beliefs????
Is it because your family would be totally embarrassed, or is it because those at the gathering
would turn away from you and your distorted view of life?  Couldn't handle that reality in
your face happening, could you....I mean others that disagree with Cissyworld????
You like to play this game on the forum, but given the chance to openly discuss with others in face-to-face, you
suddenly get DECORUM.....yah right, you hypocrite!

I'm saying practice what you preach, opt out of your tax breaks that others don't receive and pay your full share like everyone else. I just find it amazing you rip on me and Cicero when it is you who is paying less taxes. Just think of all the good 50 years of 25% off could have done, I would be interested to know what your taxes are and then we could do a little math together.
