Quoted from Henry
This is funny box doesn't want to give a number, after all the sh*t talking about me and cicero it is him who is the biggest fraud here when it comes to taxes. Don't ever complain about roads or schools or any other bs you place on me and others, when you start paying what everyone else pays then you can talk.

What number do you want Henry??? And why is it important to you???

I could have a $250,000 house that is 25% exempt up to a $200,000 limit...
and
My tax rate could be only $5 per thousand

OR

My home could be worth $120,000 with a 15% exemption and a 75,000 limit with a tax rate of
$90 per thousand.

AND

The exemption is valid on some city tax, some county tax and (I think) not valid on any school tax.

AND

Some municipalities exempt sewer/water tax from the exemption, others don't.

So what number do you want Henry?

On his primary residence... Yea.  He should.
Here's the part you don't get... HE EARNED IT!  (You didn't)

I guess the oil Barron's that produce the oil to run the war machines earned their exemption too.  Or the weapons manufacturers that make their weapons earn their exemptions.  Yay!  Everybody is special that helps the war machine.  GIVE THEM ALL TAX EXEMPTIONS!!!

Everybody is a link in that chain.

I think he asked for your exemptions where you live.  Just make up the assessment. Say $150k, and figure your total saving for all the veteran exemptions you are eligible for where you live.

The guy who made the guns (me) and made the jet engines (again me) didn't put his life on the line
serving his country.  The guy who put on the uniform and bled for his country, was the only link in
that chain who actually fought for his country.  The rest just went to work and made a living.

(We can do this all day, I doubt you'll get it the 100th time either.  The concept is beyond you.)

HUH!  This often happens when Cicero and Henry do their Tag Team, Rope a Dope combo.

Henry answers for Cicero, Cicero answers for Henry.  I don't presume to answer for anyone else.
Wonder why you do?  Do you call Henry and ask his permission to answer for him, or do ya just
wing it.

So lets make up $150K... As I explained earlier, the 25% exemption is deducted from the $150, but I think
it has a cap.  And the exemption is not on school taxes, IS on city town and county tax, but not on
water/sewer, or library tax.

So the point of this exercise is?????

The guy working 9-5 pushing paper sitting at a desk ordering bullets also "served".  He put on the costume, but didn't bleed - gets exemption.  He's part of the chain.  His job was about as dangerous as the machinist making the bullets.  Difference is, bullet maker isn't wearing a costume.

To put a price tag on your special exemption.  Just to see exactly how special you are.

It wasn't EARNED.  You admitted yourself that the exemption varies from local government to local government.  It was never part of your compensation.  It's called pandering.  It is earned the same way any entitlement is earned, by hiring lobbyist to lobby politician for special benefits.

And the tag team continues!
Is that what Henry wanted Cissy?

Yeah, re-read his post.  I thought it was pretty clear.  I know sometimes you have to see thing written a few different ways before comprehending.  Just thought I'd help you out with your comprehension.

Local taxes are often discretionary. Each community can give tax exemptions as they see fit.
Cissy like Henry seem jealous that their community values those who have served their country.

That's not earned, it's an entitlement granted by politicians, usually persuaded by lobbyists or to pander for votes.  Just admit it...You think you are special and entitled to special treatment.  And you get angry when people don't think you are so special.  How dare we think we are equal to the soldier?  After all, some politicians say you deserve special treatment, or they wouldn't have let you put your veteran status on your license.

Angry? Do you really think that I get angry over some post on a message board?
Sorry to disappoint you, but I very seldom get angry over anything... Much less a comment on a message board.

As stated above, each community passes it's own legislation.  One county may vote for a
vets exemption at 5%, another at 25% and another at 0%.

On his primary residence... Yea.  He should.

EARNED IT!!! as compared to whom?
