IMHO, the climate is clearly warming....However, when the pro-warming pushers try to tie EVERY CLIMATE EVENT and EVERY variable as being DIRECTLY tied to warming, it has the opposite effect as intended...They REALLY think the public is that stupid, and maybe they are right.....but it makes them seem like a bunch of chicken littles.

Well the greenie, tree huggers are blaming 'progress'!! They should ALL get rid of their cars and walk.....get rid of their a/c's and sweat......get rid of their power mowers...and push mow, get rid of their snow blowers and shovel, no more airplanes, no more cruises, no more vacations....only go somewhere that is in walking distance. I agree. A snowstorm is just a snowstorm. A hurricane is just a hurricane. But a global sea warming over decades or centuries, or historic ice melt over decades or centuries is more than just a 'warm spell'.

The co-founder of Greenpeace, ecologist Dr. Patrick Moore, told members of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee on Tuesday, that:
“There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years.”
Moore, a loyal member of Greenpeace from 1971-1986, left the group when the group became more interested in pushing its leftist political agenda than relying on real science. Moore told the Senate Committee:
“After 15 years in the top committee I had to leave as Greenpeace took a sharp turn to the political left, and began to adopt policies that I could not accept from my scientific perspective. Climate change was not an issue when I abandoned Greenpeace, but it certainly is now.”
Moore also stated that compared with the totality of the earth’s temperatures, current temperatures are “unusually cold,” and that warming is actually beneficial for life in general:
“Today, we live in an unusually cold period in the history of life on earth and there is no reason to believe that a warmer climate would be anything but beneficial for humans and the majority of other species.”
