For those paranoid about being killed in a mass shooting...
some important information:

You are more likely to be struck by lightening
than killed in a mass shooting

The Congressional Research Service study calculating how many people have been killed
in the United States in mass shootings since 1983.
The number is 547, not including the shooters.
That’s roughly 18 per year.

You are three times more likely to be killed by lightning
than to be gunned down in a mass shooting.
As the United States averages
54 lightning deaths per year

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Not for everyone, but for those paranoid of being shot in a mass shooting...

You are the paranoid one.  You are the person that has been standing on the graves of children in an effort to convince yourself that these laws will pacify your paranoia about mass shootings.

If you are among the PARANOID who now have to worry
more about being hit by lightning,
than being shot in a mass shooting...
THIS IS FOR YOU!!!

Wow box, glad to see you come to the side of the "gun huggers". You are using the same arguments I used to point out the silliness of gun laws.

Box A Rox....

Walking on the bodies of dead children since Dec. 2012

Oh and FYI: Lanza stole the weapons.

Yes he stole it from his GunHugger mom who never secured her assault rifle, even though she
knew she had a mentally disturbed person living in her home.

New York's SAFE ACT addresses keeping weapons secured, especially when there is a mentally
unstable person living in the home.

Had his GunHugger mom kept her guns under lock, this shooting, and the deaths of 26 people
might well have been prevented.

It does?  How does the NYSafe Act address this exactly?

Is someone going to come to your home and physically inspect how you store your firearms? Or maybe cameras installed so the State can monitor your storage area?

I fully agree and by her actions, she too, paid with her life.

Should she have lived, I would have been standing right next to you, calling for her to be burned at the stake.

Not burned at the stake, but prosecuted for negligence that helped cause these deaths.

Just think if the NRA worked for sportsmen and gun owners instead of just being a high
profile lobby for the Gun Manufacturer and chemical companies...  The NRA could be in the
press every time a sportsman left his guns unattended and a child is shot as a result.  Or
every time a GunHugger leaves his guns unlocked in a car and the guns are stolen.
If the NRA were really interested in helping America's sportsmen, and gun owners, they
would be helping with the problems of gun ownership, instead of representing Gun
Companies.

just think if we stopped going after some utopia by making a crazy distopia how much more human we would be.....

That would be a good discussion for a philosophy class.  Even in this forum cicero  you Ll4L  ( im surprised at Henry ) would argue until the cows come home.

But to keep it simple has anyone here been stationed on a base ?  hello anyone ? If you have you know why everyone inst allowed to carry a loaded gun. Nothing really to discuss.

I agree.

I'll try to make this brief. A long time ago my uncle told me about two Marines who were
stationed at his base in NC. The two went out for a night of drinking. They were next door
neighbors and both lived in base housing. One drove to a local club, and they both got very
drunk.
When driving home after 2am, the driver dropped off his friend then went inside and quietly
got ready for bed.
His neighbor mistook the neighbors house for his own (base housing often has identical houses)
and couldn't get his front door key to work. He didn't want to wake his wife, so he went to
the back of the house to what he thought was his spare bedroom. He pulled out the screen
and was climbing in the window when the driver heard the noise, grabbed his gun and shot
him twice, killing him in the process.
This mistake cost the life of his best friend. He was "justified" in shooting the "intruder", and
no charges were brought against him, but that act changed his life forever.
