Cicero's latest Conspiracy Rant comes from a "very reliable source". Reliable if you believe in UFO's, Bigfoot or 'The New World Order"! Really Cic, I don't blame you for not including the link. Here are just a few articles from Cicero's "Source"... Natural News. Check em out. They're hilarious! (These are actual stories along side Cic's Hollow Point piece) "Seven amazing health benefits of coffee enemas"(really, ya can't make this stuff up) Police state rolled out in Arkansas town: Cops with AR-15s to patrol town, harass people on the streetMayan calendar, Sandy Hook, Peace Prize Obama: Your entire reality has been scripted by the manipulation mastersHow embarrassing for Cicero. His source is "Crazies R US"!!! (Reading this $hit... no wonder Cic is afraid of his own shadow) http://www.naturalnews.com/index.html
Uh-Oh!!! Box sounded the source alert!!!!!! Information has been posted from a source outside the government approved mass media. Must be a conspiracy if the network news or NYT's does not report it. Box is now throwing red herrings around to keep you from looking at the original purchase document. Box is going into full discredit the source mode, even when the link is to the actual purchase document. That is the last thing box wants to look at. He doesn't want you thinking independently and drawing your own conclusions, you must accept the official reason. Hollow point round are for your safety. Rule 77 http://www.icrc.org/customary-ihl/eng/docs/v1_rul_rule77Box does not want to discuss the document that shows a purchase for 1.6 BILLION rounds of ammunition by the DHS. He would rather throw up headlines that are totally unrelated to the purchase and attack the source. Box, the king of straw man arguments. BTW box, it doesn't change the fact that weapons manufacturers are selling BILLIONS of rounds to the federal government. The same weapons manufacturers that the NRA represents. Is the NRA and weapons manufacturers suddenly good businesses and the NRA good lobbiests when government buys their products? |

My actual reply was at response #161... But I'll repeat it for you.
The day isn't complete with out the latest Anti Govt... "There coming to get us" Conspiracy theory!
Hollow point bullets are standard-issue items for many police agencies. The bullets expand when they hit a target and can help prevent injuries to bystanders from bullets passing through a body, according to police. Investigators "use this ammunition during their mandatory quarterly firearms qualifications and other training sessions, to ensure agent and public safety" . |

So the government purchase of 1.6 billion rounds off of the weapons manufacturers, then the weapons manufacturers hire the NRA to lobby the government to pass laws that allow them to sell weapons to the public? Weapon manufactures make MUCH more money selling arms to the U.S. government than the U.S. public. Never left wing gun control outrage when when the government buys massive amounts of guns and ammunition for armed government agents. The state department even buys billions of dollars in weapons and exports them around the world. Never outrage. Only outrage when crying to regulate and disarm the lawful American citizen. Par for the course for hypocritical left wing fascists.

Why Is the U.S. Selling Billions in Weapons to Autocrats?
Every May and June, different branches of the State Department paint contrasting portraits of how Washington views dozens of strategically significant countries around the world, in seemingly rivalrous reports by its Human Rights and Political-Military Affairs bureaus.
The former routinely criticizes other nations for a lack of fealty to democratic principles, citing abuses of the right to expression, assembly, speech, and political choice. The latter tallies the government's latest successes in the export of American weaponry, often to the same countries criticized by the former.
This year was no different. The State Department's Military Assistance Report on June 8 stated that it approved $44.28 billion in arms shipments to 173 nations in the last fiscal year, including some that struggled with human rights problems. These nations include the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Israel, Djibouti, Honduras, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
Three nations with records of suppressing democratic dissent in the last year -- Algeria, Egypt, and Peru -- are listed in the report as recently receiving U.S. firearms, armored vehicles, and items from a category that includes chemical and riot control agents like tear gas. The State Department confirmed that U.S. tear gas was delivered to Egypt up to the end of November, but has declined to confirm it was also sent to Algeria and Peru.
The export of American arms to countries around the world -- what the State Department calls a tangible expression of American "partnership" -- is in fact booming. The commercial arms sales reviewed by the State Department reached $44.28 billion in fiscal year 2011, a $10 billion sales increase since 2010. Next year should see another increase of 70 percent, the department says.

I think the President just jumped at his chance to exploit this issue now because he wants to distract people from other issues, such as his stupid "fiscal cliff" double dare or the fact that Hillary Clinton was concussed but never went to the hospital (?) so now she can't testify about why the administrationsent Susan Rice out to lie like hell to the American people about Benghazi. Jake Tapper asked Obama why he is suddenly caring about guns after all this time, and now Jake Tapper is no longer going to cover press conferences. The NRA didn't write the second amendment, and it isn't Obama's call or Cuomo's or Bloomberg's to rescind it. |

Soooooooooo when did ‘gun’ become a bad word? A gun protecting our president is ok...right? How 'bout in the hands of a soldier....how 'bout cops who comes to your home when they get a call that someone is breaking in?......and that ain't even including all of the hunters or gun collectors.
so when is a gun a 'good gun'? so who exactly is considered 'good enough' to own a gun.......but most importantly...who makes that decision?
be careful what ya wish for here folks. don't make knee jerk reactions that you will be sorry for later!

Ahhhhh, you fell for box's trap! You are arguing against his straw man! He hasn't answered why it is ok for the government to buy BILLIONS of dollars worth of weapons from the evil weapons manufacturers, but the NRA protecting the citizens right to own an AR15, the NRA is suddenly in the pocket of gun manufacturers. Guns are not bad in the hands of government agent, and if a soldier or cop misuses his gun and murders people, it is an acceptable accident that is bound to happen time to time, and you punish the individual and not all police or soldier. But when it happens with a civilian behind the gun? FUHGETABOUTIT! EVERYBODY is a potential murder and EVERY CIVILIAN MUST BE DISARMED. The double standard is so obvious. |
