An M4 to suppress like armed criminals and terrorists.

Remember this from 1997?
"L.A. Police Outgunned In Shootout; Officers Borrowed Weapons From Store"?

http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-707140.html

Do you remember Waco and Ruby Ridge?  How do you protect yourself from those armed criminals?

Those disasters didn't need to happen.  Both sides share the blame for those deaths.
IMO, if they happened today, the govt response would be much different.

Magazines that fed bullets into the primary firearm used to kill 26 children and adults at a Connecticut school
would have been banned under state legislation that the National Rifle Association and gunmakers successfully
fought.

The shooter at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Adam Lanza, 20, used a Bushmaster AR-15 rifle with
magazines containing 30 rounds as his main weapon, said Connecticut State Police Lieutenant Paul Vance
at a news conference today.

A proposal in March 2011 would have made it a felony to possess magazines with more than 10 bullets
and required owners to surrender them to law enforcement or remove them from the state. Opponents sent
more than 30,000 e-mails and letters to state lawmakers as part of a campaign organized by the NRA and
other gun advocates, said Robert Crook, head of the Hartford- based Coalition of Connecticut Sportsmen,
which opposed the legislation.

Yes because mag changes take so much time, this is just another thing to blame instead of the criminal.

That wouldn't have prevented the shooting.  It's a felony to committ mass murder too, that didn't stop him.

It takes a second and a half to drop a 10 round clip and load a full one.  He was shooting at elementary school children, not in a fire fight with Seal Team Six, the clip capacity wouldn't have mattered.

On April 28, 1996, a gunman opened fire on tourists in a seaside resort in Port Arthur, Tasmania. By
the time he was finished, he had killed 35 people and wounded 23 more. It was the worst mass murder in
Australia’s history.

Twelve days later, Australia’s government did something remarkable. Led by newly elected conservative
Prime Minister John Howard, it announced a bipartisan deal with state and local governments to enact
sweeping gun-control measures. A decade and a half hence, the results of these policy changes
are clear: They worked really, really well.  There have been no mass shootings since.

Look at the numbers!  Even NRA Gun Nuts are pro gun restrictions... yet the NRA who's only interest is
the arms manufacturers, fights these popular laws.

The NRA... the group who opposed laws against Teflon bullets... who opposed laws against armor piercing
bullets, the group who opposed any law that might cut into the profits of Gun Makers and Chemical companies.

I have been a member of the NRA for over 10 years.

I oppose gun laws. All gun laws.

I have never found one person at the range saying we need tougher gun laws.

What they do say is buy what you can before Obama makes it illegal.

I will agree to a law that restricts gun sales to the military.

The military is obsolete and unnecessary.

Finding a gun nut at a gun range is like finding a Christian in a Christian church... Not a difficult thing
To do.

How do you know a mass shooting would have occurred if they didn't pass the law?   You must believe inanimate object dictate behavior.  That means drugs cause drug addicts, cars cause car accidents, knives cause stabbings, and the way a woman dresses causes rape.

The Aussies took reasonable action to prevent another disaster.
The USA morns the 20 babies murdered and does nothing.

Fox News Producers Told Not to Talk Gun Control!

"David Clark, the executive producer in charge of Fox's weekend coverage, gave producers
instructions not to talk about gun-control policy on air... The directive created a rift inside
the network...  During the weekend, one frustrated producer went around Clark to lobby Michael
Clemente, Fox's executive vice-president for news editorial, but Clemente upheld the mandate."

By doing something you mean government treating EVERYBODY like a criminal for the criminal actions of a few. You might not be a homicidal maniac, but we're expected to let the government treat us like we ALL have the potential.  That's freedom.

Some people like Cic, think that the govt oversteps it's bounds when they legislate to kill rabid dogs.  After all,
Those rabid dogs haven't bitten anyone yet... And they DO belong to some citizen.
We should wait till the rabid dog bites before we act.
And when one rabid dog bites... That doesn't mean that they all will.

Treating rabid dogs like criminals? Or safeguarding the population from a dangerous biter?

Are you saying all Americans are rabid dogs?  Or just gun owners?  WOW!

Rabid dogs have to be diagnosed as rabid.  Americans used to have a thing called due process before being charged with a crime.  Now tyrants like box want to pass pre crime legislation because every American is a potential mass murderer.

Australia is comprised of descendants of criminals.
