After all these years Joe, you STILL need anger management.

I am not Joe, I am Graham...I am never angry, I am defiant...and happy too...

I am happy that people have woken up. I assume you live now in a low-tax, low-crime Republican area that you can't wait to turn into a high crime, high tax Democrat area. Good luck with that.

...defiance is golden...remember the patriots of Breed's Hill and the holdouts in the Warsaw Ghetto? THEY were defiant too...

Oh, and another piece of advice. When you sign up as two different people (Cal and Blender) try not to be so obvious! And mentioning Judge Caruso is just asking for trouble since he is barred from politics during his term and you can be sure that he won't appreciate having his name thrown in for no good reason except to be nasty. he has nothing to do with any races this time of year in Rotterdam. His election was last year, and he has not been political in over 14 years. He won't be allowed to participate for 14 more years...

Well I'm not Deb eith BUT I did just speak with her and she will definitely answer you in the a.m.  Happy and defiant?? Well there's a combo.  I would still check out that anger management class--you're gonna need it when Suhrada goes down in the town.   It's probably best that you don't compare your happy defiance with the martyrs of
the Warsaw Ghetto. Breed's Hill????????? The American Revolution???  Also not an appropriate comparison.

Well good for Vito Caruso.  I don't vote in Schenectady County but I do remember when he was busy with the Republican Party.  And there YOU go again Bonnet making trouble where there is none.  I remember Caruso AS
ONE OF THE DECENT GUYS AND TOLD HIM SO.  Once you get into that anger management class--see if they
offer one for paranoia.

If you are not Deb why does your email address say xxxxxx@yahoo for this identity and xxxxxx@hotmail.com for "Cal?" If you have TWO identities then how many do all the other Democrats have for crying out loud????? Cover your tracks better please! Yeah, and if Suhrada loses then he is fine with that. It has always been a Democrat town, and he has always had all the 'in the know' types like you against him anyhow. At least he has the b_lls to step up to the plate and run, knowing just by virtue of his conservative views he will be hated and vilified by the religious left, the ACLU types, the druggies, the wierdos, the military haters, the "expand welfare" gang and all the other special interests.

Now he is a bad Catholic for supporting his parish festival and eating donuts (of which there were none for sale there.) Doesn't THAT just take the cake! Pony up some money next one if you have any left over from all your contributions to the Hugo Chavez campaign, and the "Free Abu Mummia Jamal fund."

How dare you criticize him for going to the Saint Gabriel Feast with his wife! You have no damned idea. While you shoot yourself in the foot again making wild and baseless allegations that Joe is a muslim, or a jerk for going to the church Feast, munch on this -While you were still living in Colonie he was getting baptized by the parish priest at Saint Gabriel's. His name was Father Joseph Honan, and he was a REAL man of God; and Joe gets his Christian name from the man. Coincidentally the good Father used to proclaim that the "communists would soon take over the church." Boy, was HE ever right. They are in every church, and especially at the "interfaith" rallies...

Oh, another thing. If you think Joe doesn't live in Rotterdam, send your jack-boot spies over for another frickin' look-see. You ought to tell his wife she comes home to the wrong house every night after work.

...Another pile of God damned lies courtesy of the Rotterdam Democrats who only know how to lie, lie, lie and lie some more. Victory at any cost, right? You got your book-learnin' from Saul Alinsky. didn't you.

Well, quite honestly, I don't see what the big whoop is because suhrada was at his parish's fall festival. (or what ever it was called) I'm not supporting suhrada in this election because of the rems issue, but I mean geeezzzeee......it appears that this has become a 'damned if ya do' or a 'damned if ya don't' scenario goin' on here. He's damned cause he went and supported his parish and he'd be damned if he didn't.  That is nonsense!

Again, I'm not supporting him, but he has always seemed to be a personable and very nice person whenever I did meet him. I've supported him a few times in the past. And I did so based on his political views at the time....not what church festa he went to. IMHO

Joe,
I had no idea you got married.  Congratulations to you.  I also have no idea (nor do I care) where you live. But two senior citizens did ask if you were from Rotterdam.  Andbtw I haven't lived in Colonie since I graduated from
college.  And you are a great congregant to St. Gabe's if in fact you supported your festival.  But politicking is against 501 C3 laws.

Yes I go to all interfaith rallies.  And you would also be welcomed there.  Your bashing other faith traditions is unattractive in a candidate.  You will need to curb that.  I think, and I hope for Rotterdam that a new wind is blowing.  I am thrilled to hear that Mohonason has a Peace Club.

They are takers...suck suck suck on that teet. Slurp slurp...get some get some! yumm. They never broke open the damned wallet the whole pack of them unless there was a political job or a plum at the end of the rainbow. People go to a festival with their wives and get knocked for it? How about the democrats, where they there and just as much "in the wrong?" At least Joe didn't have campaign buttons, shirts or hats on, I am sure. What other politicos were there? let's have full disclosure now...

Well Bumble if you supported him in the past and you feel he is a nice person (he hasn't shown his best side this evening) perhaps you should speak to him to see what reasons he has for not being in line with your thinking.  Exactly right.  I think the church festival was a red herring in the conversation and the conversation went off track.

There was no red herring...OK, maybe he was politicking, so charge him for going out with his wife and spending money. Will you charge the "Revitalize Rotterdam" people for having people there wearing hats with the names of the Democrat candidates too, just to be fair? I doubt that. No one noticed that, right? The ones that say something like "equal opportunity a**-kickers" on the back?

I will wait for the trial and will enjoy it very much. File a complaint with the left wing Bishop and maybe he will have Joe excommunicated. Maybe Joe should now get paid by the church for the several hundreds of dollars of candies and the machine that he donated for the church to use. That could be a violation of the 501 c3

Now as far as the other red herring, the idea that he doesn't live in Rotterdam, maybe the two seniors who asked you that should have checked when he ran in 2001, and 2005 to see if he was on the ballot in this subdivision, or maybe they should have read the paper where they say "Joe Suhrada R-ROTTERDAM" But if don't believe him, send a spy over to his house (again) tonight and peep in the bedroom window, my sources say it is 19 Wedgewood Avenue. We all know this kind of antic has been done before by you Democrats. And yeah, it is within the town lines.

I never liked that. I think it is tacky. Going to one of these functions is one thing. But wearing the buttons, hats, tee-shirts or whatever, I look at as invasive. Go door to door and talk to the people. They shouldn't be swooping down on these people like this. No matter what political party.IMHO

I don't know him in that way. Again....I'm not voting for him because of his support of a taxing district for rems. It IS a tax increase. IMHO

Wow ~ what a wonderful walk in the history of Rotterdam politics.  Even better was the reminder why Rotterdam is considered the worst of the worst when it comes to politics.

I really want to argue some points, some from both sides, but not sure where to start ~

GB ~ Ok, if Surhada is so opposed to not-for-profits, why is he supporting a new tax district for Rotterdam EMS?  I'm starting to buy into the Reps holding on, Dems are flat and are not offering an alternative.

Cal/Blender ~ if you support anyone who is working to take out the Tom and Jerry show, then donate to Mertz's campaign.  I am sure he pissed you off at some point, good for him ~ at least he wasn't holding our hands and telling us all what we wanted to hear.  I like a guy with some ba_ _s, should he be back in office?  Maybe not, considering his alliance with Tommasone in the past.  Do I like that he's giving shi_ to the guys who took him out?  YES ~ I love it!

Bumble ~ You're right, Fran has not put forth enough reason to support him, except that he's a millionare.

Sal ~ the idiot ~ quit with all the "I'm Italian and don't speaka so well over here" if that's the case you're a disgrace to all the Italians who came over here, worked hard, went to night school in Schenectady where they offered english classes.  Your claim to help the common man and Fran is one of them is a joke too ~ he's loaded!  The rich get richer ~ you're a joke.

Shadow ~  Row F ~ you're making me wonder how many people like you are out there.

Michael ~ "stuck on the sign with the guy"?  that should do great for your no new tax party morale, there is a rare thing called loyalty ~ very few understand it ~ even less can live it!  I see the NNTP falling fast.

Felipe, I always enjoy your posts whether I agree with you or not. You are the rare man here who says just what he thinks without any regard to what the orthodoxy is.   You make for serious thought on what really isn't the end of the world- Rotterdam politics!
