"If Mertz were as morally bankrupt as the others"--he is one step below them (thank G-d) because he was on the "ethics board" when many of us (me included) thought there was hope for that committee. He was a disappointment then and it only got worse. The Republican Party in Rotterdam lost its "gravitas" when they pushed Gus Leshen out. He was a Republican who understood balance in the party. O'Connor, Littlefield and McGarry are probably decent men. (if they were really decent they wouldn't be interested in politics.) The first thing you need to do is work on behalf of anyone who will pull the plug on the "Tom and Jerry" show. Then kick "howdy's butt to the curb. Next you need to work to insure Suhrada will not be part of Rotterdam politics. (Does he even really live there?) Let's draft "Shrek!"
First, you are correct, in part about mertzie. But do you see what happened when he 'didn't go along'? He got the boot! Second, the reps clearly need new leadership, but these leaders keep getting voted in year after year by their committee. Third, I will not be voting for suhrada cause he is supporting the new taxing district for rems. |

Yes he did get the boot. But why??????? Because he wanted more than Tommasone. It was a battle of egos. Is Vito Caruso responsible for this? |

... these gentlemen decided to get involved to give the Rotterdam and District 4 residents a choice.
You’ve hit the nail squarely on the head, Cicero. I hope others recognize it too. It’s all about choice. How many years have we all complained about not having an “alternative?” The No New Tax Party is that alternative. We’re all guilty of expecting one party or the other to deliver what we need, only to be sadly disappointed in the end most times. If I believed the solutions were within one of the parties, I would’ve only run a primary race. Taking the extraordinary step of creating an independent ballot line was a monumental task not for the fainthearted. It was done with one purpose in mind: Give the people the choice they’ve been asking for. Be bold. Vote Row F. Take a chance at creating something better…or pull your regular party lever and get what you deserve…more of the same. |

Row F is the only choice...Rotterdam residents have put their support behind the other parties in the past and it's been proven that change is needed!
Row F all the way!!! |

It's past time "decent people" stepped up to the plate, wouldn't you agree? I have zero interest in "the politics" associated with the challenges we're facing as a community. If I was concerned with "the politics" , I'd be wasting everyone's time, mine included. But staying uninvolved because of "politics" is a colossal excuse. I don't make excuses. I'm as busy with living my life as the next guy but I'm compelled to step up to try to make a positive contribution. After I do, I'm as anxious to return to my busy life and hope there is someone standing behind me, equally motivated to take my place. I'm results driven. I'm in this because I perceive a few things that need improvement and I think I can be constructive in the effort to improve them. |

Decent people have stepped up in the past. Carolina Lazzari would be one of them. She has been battered and bruised over the years but still is the one who emerges as the perfect candidate to lead her party. Decent people also have been thrown outof their jobs in town because of politics. Yes that has happened because of Republicans and Democrats. But the vindictivenessof the Republicans in his town is legend since Tommasone has been in power. But the Town got what it deserved in him.
As for Suhrada politicking at St. Gabe's...what a surprise. I don't care if he is a Roman Catholic or a Muslim his political anticsat the legislature and elsewhere show he doesn't aspire to the basic tenets of either faith tradition. There are people are tracking his hate speech. If Holly Vellano is running on the F line--it should be F for FORGET IT. She is the embodiment of the word unethical. |

Mertz is an anchor, a cigar store indian, an albatross. He will ultametly hurt OConnor in the genereal unless Mike cuts him loose.
That's gonna be tough to do, brother - we share a sign! We all have our own baggage. The question is are we each strong enough to carry it...or does it outweigh the good in us? For better or for worse, look for the 4 of us to continue to stand together. |

Re: your remark about decent people - absolutely, I agree. I didn't mean to imply we're the first (assuming we're decent people - I'm not sure we've established that ) The difference between us and the "decent people" who have tried before is the context. That's where the power of the No New Tax Party ballot line comes in. We aim to move beyond the normal context of labels and "the politics." Re: your remark about Row F - Row F is comprised of Littlefield for County Leg., McGarry for Town Supervisor, Mertz for Town Council, and O'Connor for Town Council. Ms. Vellano is not associated with the No New Tax Party and is not on Row F. |

HATE SPEECH? Is that the kind your Democrat senior Senator used when he was the grand wizard of the klan, or is it the kind your black panther friends used when they "worked the polls" in Philadelphia trying to get your man elected president. Must be all conservatives "hate" and are "racists" because you disagree with them. Tracking anyone is nothing new since the National Socialists did it and the KGB did it, so you are in the with the usual group, Deb. Not too surprising, your usual schtick (WAIT, that could be anti-semite, sorry. Unauthorized use of Yiddish will be "hate speech" soon too.) The only haters are the liberals that burn the flag and make vets cry, and do it with "compassion." Your legal-eagle ACLU friends who hate law and order, and your supporters who "hate" to work and can't wait to drain the taxpayer cup dry every chance they get by suck-suck-sucking up the welfare on the public teet. And believe me, you aren't putting a liberal in when you nominate Del Gallo. Get a grip on yourself. He has no use for your far left fringe politics. he makes Suhrada look like a Ruth Bader Ginsburg in that department. LOL!!!!! Now we KNOW you are mad that you lost your job at the senior center, but really, you were just making everything politics, weren't you. Like running the bus loads down to see Hillary, or organizing anti-military sentiment and trying to undermine the few Republicans there on the board. Like usual left wing activists, everything you do is about helping to move forward the one world socialism that you crave. WELL WE DON'T CRAVE IT! LEAVE AMERICANS ALONE AND STOP WITH THE ACCUSATIONS, STOP WITH THE SPYING, STOP WITH THE INTRUSIONS! WE DON'T WANT YOU AND WE DON'T WANT SOCIALISM!!!! GET OVER IT AND GO BACK TO WORK IN A PRODUCTIVE MANNER AND STOP EXPECTING THE PUBLIC TO PAY YOUR WAY! |

Good luck to you Michael and your line. Too bad your stuck with Mertz. He's a drag on your ticket--like Paterson with the Dems. I don't live in Schenectady County any longer so I cannot cast a vote for you and your party. But my children do. They are distressed with current administration. They are Conservatives. I will urge them to look further into your party. |

For the people that are sick and tired of the dems, reps and cons politics as usual....their only choice IS row 'F'! The current reps will keep things the same. The dems will bring back the 'good old days'! The NNTP means stepping out of the box and trying something new! Now we have a real choice! |
