A&E bows to the PC crowd on this one...not surprised though...
They are playing with fire...if the shows goes off the air or moves to another channel, A&E loses...they don't have another show with 10% of the ratings.
The Duck Dynasty folks will be fine regardless, they were rich before the show started...

This isn't the 1st show canceled by the PC crowd and as stated above the big losers here will be A&E

This is an example of modern liberal tolerance.  You must tolerate me, but I can destroy you.

I don't get this suspension thing. If you think a show you are putting out there in front of the public has become too offensive to continue, due to the personal views expressed by one of the stars, on his own time, don't you cancel it? What is the purpose of a suspension? To punish the guy for saying what he thinks, to somebody who asked him what he thinks? To teach him that he shouldn't have spoken out, because he has a show on the air? I would like to know whether these shows have some kind of clause in their contracts, of the type of thing you can say or not say. They must, because otherwise you wouldn't be able to suspend someone, legally. I would like to see the wording of just such a clause.

Suspension = wait and see if the advertisers complain before taking further action.
Results:
     (a) No complaints; have person offer apology and continue show.
           -or-
     (b) Complaints equal big loss of revenue; dump the show and cut your losses

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal jumped to the defense of Phil Robertson, the star of the A&E megahit “Duck Dynasty” who was indefinitely suspended from the program Wednesday after making graphic statements about homosexuality.
In a statement, Jindal praised Robertson and his family as “great citizens” of his home state, where the lucrative show is filmed, and he slammed the “politically correct crowd” for criticizing his comments.
“I don’t agree with quite a bit of stuff I read in magazine interviews or see on TV.  In fact, come to think of it, I find a good bit of it offensive,” Jindal said. “But I also acknowledge that this is a free country and everyone is entitled to express their views.  In fact, I remember when TV networks believed in the First Amendment. this show is against all morals and ethics.....never watched it...but just looking at the " ducks" make me cringe......need a redo for their hygiene and

appearance......if this is what made  these people famous....wow....where has intelligence gone.......and another show...Naked and Scared.

Americans are sure losing out on what is reality.......we all could make reality shows and make $$$$$$$$....how about it folks...

the blog would make a top rated show.....or circus with all the ingredients.

First Patches....you need to do your research on these people. They were very wealthy people BEFORE this show. I watched it twice and it didn't hold my interest. We're not much into reality tv.

Second...My only question to all of this is.....did the guy get cancelled because the 'network' was offended...or because they were getting flooded by complaints from advertisers/viewers?

I don't think the magazine is even out yet. People are being notified to be on standby to be offended.

media is the new voting/judge/jury arena.......and THAT'S reality....people are that stupid to give it that much power to
