OMG!  I don't believe that Cicero is serious!!!

As ill informed as even Cissy is, he usually at least pretends to be serious.  I assume that
Cissy meant this post to be a 'joke', and will treat it as such!

???

Title VII of The Civil Rights Act doesn't protect religious expression anymore?

Religious Discrimination
Religious discrimination involves treating a person (an applicant or employee) unfavorably because of his or her religious beliefs. The law protects not only people who belong to traditional, organized religions, such as Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism, but also others who have sincerely held religious, ethical or moral beliefs.
Religious discrimination can also involve treating someone differently because that person is married to (or associated with) an individual of a particular religion or because of his or her connection with a religious organization or group.

It doesn't protect white Christian males Cicero, you should know that. Now if he was a brown skinned Muslim or Atheist the lawsuits would be already in progress and their case would evolve around the Civil Rights Act.

Yes, it's apparent.  Based on box's posts on this thread, if asked, employees cannot voice their religious beliefs on a social topic or any topic that does not conform with the beliefs of company officers without being subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.  Pretty astonishing coming from Box, who is a workers rights pro-union guy.  Now he's all for at-will employment and no legal protections.

It's funny, box sounds like he's defending Ron Paul's fundamental issue with the Civil Rights Act, his argument has always been that it doesn't allow for free association and is forced servitude.   Now box believes that A&E and all other private companies can freely associate with who they do or do not wish.  I guess there are no longer protected classes, which religion is part of.(Or as you point out, only in this circumstance)

Yea.  If he were brown skinned or a Muslim he'd never get canned...
Oh...
Wait...

Didn't BROWN SKINNED, PAKISTANI just get canned from MSBNC?
HUH!

If you quote this biblical verse publicly, your employer can suspend you from working.

Quoted Text
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
Don't you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people-none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (NLT)

There is not many things in life funnier than an outraged Right Winger who's in full "VICTIM MODE"
and spouting about "the injustice" of his plight!!!

So... just who's been wronged?
According to the Right Wing Victims Lobby, Some Duck Fcuker lost his job for his religious
beliefs.

But but ... but... The Duck Fcuker didn't lose his job... and in fact he's much more popular since
this invented controversy than he ever was just Fcukin Ducks!

Could it be that his network A & E, found that this lame show about Rednecks Killin Quackin Creatures
(not exactly Masterpiece Theater) needed a little boost in the ratings (with resulting $$$ for A & E),
so let me see... how could we make a bunch of filthy redneck bigots be more acceptable to our
viewers???
I KNOW!  We'll pretend that we were offended by one of his many bigoted comments, then FIRE HIS
LAME @SS, then wait for the pot to boil as Duck Fcuker Groupies run to his rescue...
WE'LL THEN BACK DOWN FROM OUR POSITION AND HIRE THE DUCK FCUKER FOR ANOTHER SEASON!

Just think of the ratings!!!
Just think of the Press!!!
Just think of all the money we can make on this SCAM!!!

NOTE:
The DuckFcuker is scheduled to appear in the new DuckFcuker Shows on A & E starting in January!
(Guess he was never really fired after all was he)

So can they "indefinitely suspend" the Duck Fcuker for being a bigot or not???
Can they "indefinitely suspend" him for being rude? According to Cissy... as long as he's rude in
a religious manner, they CAN"T "indefinitely suspend" him.

Can they "indefinitely suspend" him if he's late for work?
According to Cissy...  Not if he's late for work because he was attending religious services.

Can they "indefinitely suspend" him if he's committed a felony???
According to Cissy... they can't "indefinitely suspend" him if the felony was committed
while in church.

HUH!  19% of Ducks are gay... no wonder he's killing them.

NO-Protected by Title VII.  You can't harrass at work.  Rude?  That's very subjective.

Can they "indefinitely suspend" him if he's late for work?
According to Cissy...  Not if he's late for work because he was attending religious services.
NO-protected by Title VII. Employers must make reasonable accomodations(Just like employers must accomodate Muslims who pray during work hours)

Can they "indefinitely suspend" him if he's committed a felony???
According to Cissy... they can't "indefinitely suspend" him if the felony was committed
while in church.
YES - Not protected by Title VII

Phil's comments in response to a question did not affect the day to day workplace activities.  He did not commit a felony.  The worst it did is, it may have hurt the feelings of thin skinned people and political pressure groups.

You are suggesting that one protected class under Title VII have more rights than another protected class.  That's bigotted.

Very interesting how your version doesn't seem to quite match!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quoted Text
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

I'm not "suggesting" anything... My statement had to do with A & E staging a Right Wing Hysteria
Fest!  And it worked exactly as planned.

Wow!  Box is even dabbling into conspiracy theory...Very good box.  You could be right, it could be staged.  But without FACT(as you like to call it) you are floating your own conspiracy theory.

BTW...I have a conspiracy of my own.  The left wing GLAAD people probably never heard of Duck Dynasty or Phil Robertson until the GQ interview.  This wasn't about staging right wing hysteria, the right wing is a demographic that is already watching, they now caught the attention of the left wing liberal who never heard of duck dynasty.  Now there is a demographic that will tune in to find out why they are being told to hate it.

According to A & E, The DuckFcuker will be back with new eposodes in January.
So he never left!
NO conspiracy there.

Huckster DieNasty!

Quoted Text
It should come as no surprise that Mike Huckabee led the charge to defend Duck Dynasty
patriarch Phil Robertson.

Huckabee rushed to the front of those defending the controversial remarks from Duck Dynasty
patriarch, Phil Robertson.

Of course, none of those developments should come as a surprise to anyone.  After all, Mike
Huckabee was trafficking in anti-gay bigotry and the rewriting of
American racial history for decades before the Robertson clan first appeared on televisions
screens.
