So is Cicero telling us all that he is against Texting While Driving Laws???
"Freedom to die and kill others while texting!!!"

What's the penalty for texting while driving? What's the penalty for driving with a handgun without a permit?  Which kill 11 teenagers PER DAY?

Scary world out there box.  Every car you drive by in the way to the gun range could be the one that kills you.

What scares you more?  The people at the gun range or driving past a teen texting on their phone while driving?

Cicero Logic:
Because people texting and driving kill many we should ignore gun deaths...
(Yea nuts hun!)
And because GunHuggers kill both accidentally and on purpose, we should ignore texting and driving deaths.

I know, I know... it doesn't make sense but that's how Cicero's brain works!!!

I'm just judging it based on what you post mostly about.  You have hundreds of posts on gun control, and I believe you have zero posts on the MUCH more dangerous issue of texting while driving.  Based on statistics, 11 teens die everyday from a texting while driving accident.  Hundreds of thousands more injured.  In three days, more kids died from texting than at Sandy Hook.

But, I guess it's logical for you to stress more gun control laws rather than texting laws.  Since the texting laws are more than adequate, it doesn't need the same level of attention as guns.  Texting only kills 11 teenagers per day, that's well within the levels of acceptable deaths.

people should be required to obtain a 'government permit' to own a device that 'texts'. they should be required to take classes and then be registered with the government.

Texting devices kill....not the people who use them!!!

Henry's "Safest Place To Be"... Unless you're this guy who shoots his thumb off!
(What a douche... He says: "It was one of those "malfunctions" where my thumb
went in front of the barrel"!

The Dumb@ss shot his thumb off and called it a "malfunction"!
One of the safest places to be!

Oh look box found some videos but yet it doesn't change the fact more people are injured at basketball games, skiing, jet skiing, football, and a long list of other sports and recreational activities then at gun ranges, damn snow huggers

Don't go skiing anymore box, statistics show you are more likely to get hurt/killed skiing then shooting at the range.

You DO ignore texting while driving deaths.  Between today and Saturday, more teens will have died from texting and driving accidents(33) than Sandy Hook.  I will guanantee that you will not start a thread demanding stricter texting laws, or meme's mocking smart phones and people that like their smart phones. Those deaths will happen without any memorial or fundraisers or the outrage, and certainly no national politicians demanding stricter laws to "protect the children" from unnecessary smart phone deaths.

The Apple I phone kills and injures more people than guns.  Where is box's outrage?  Why isn't he demanding more restrictions on cell phones?  No registrations? No licensing?

Henry got caught in a lie and doesn't know how to get out of it.  Just admit that you made up your
quote way back at post #474 saying:
... truth is gun ranges are some of the safest places to be..."
or post a link proving your post.

Skiing may be dangerous...
Cooking may be dangerous...
Sky diving may be dangerous...
But none are some of the safest places to be.
And neither is a gun range!  And we all know it!

Already posted box and anyone can read the link I provided which breaks it all down, you trying to say I didn't post nothing is a awesome tactic but yet I'm sure the people here would love to see what I did post and I'm sure they already did. That tactic might work on your liberal sites but not here buddy, as Wonka would say

Henry is still running from his lie.  The proof is right there in front of you Henry...
I went to your link:
http://www.nssf.org/PDF/research/IIR_InjuryStatistics2013.pdf
No where in the entire link are the words
"GUN RANGES ARE ONE OF THE SAFEST PLACES TO BE"
You made it up then posted a link about "firearm related injury statistics" as if it were some
kind of proof of your statement.

Henry's feeble attempt to prove his lie compares INJURIES... you know when you are playing
tennis and you trip and skin your knee THAT'S AN INJURY.
When you are at the range and a fellow shooter shoots you in the eye... THAT'S AN INJURY...
and Henry treats them as if they are equal!

The bottom line...
No where in Henry's link does it say "GUN RANGES ARE ONE OF THE SAFEST PLACES TO BE"
In fact IT DOESN'T EVEN MENTION GUN RANGES AT ALL!

Don't take my word for it... go to Henry's link and look it up yourself!  Then you can tell
Henry... he's full of $hit too!

Yes safer... If you are shot at a gun range or if you skin your knee, the statistics would be exactly the same.  One injury.
If you break your back, a serious injury, of if you are shot in the brain at a gun range... the statistics from Henry's link would
be again, exactly the same.  One injury.
If you break your finger skiing or if your hand is shot off at a gun range, the statistics would each be recorded as 'one injury'.

Again, I ask anyone who is interested seeing the truth of Henry's claim that:
"GUN RANGES ARE ONE OF THE SAFEST PLACES TO BE"
THE FACTS ARE HENRY'S LINK  DOESN'T MENTION GUN RANGES AT ALL!
NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH!

Henry used a link to prove his statement... the link didn't even mention "gun ranges", but in stead
discussed gun injuries.

Here's a link showing that gun deaths and injuries are in the INCREASE... MORE DANGEROUS THAN
JUST 14 years ago.
Quoted Text
Number of Americans Shot Each Year is Rising New Analysis Shows

WASHINGTON - January 6 - As gun violence prevention supporters begin holding vigils
across America marking the January 8th one-year anniversary of the mass shooting in
Tucson, Arizona, that claimed six lives and wounded 13 others, including U.S.
Representative Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ), the Violence Policy Center (VPC) today
released “More Guns, More Shootings,”
a new analysis of fatal and non-fatal gunshot injuries showing that the total number
of people shot in the United States each year has risen significantly from the beginning
of the new century to 2008, the latest year for which complete federal data is available.
Between 2000 and 2008, a total of 272,590 people died of gunshot injuries in the United
States--an average of 30,288 gun deaths per year, a number shocking by comparison
to any other developed country.  During that same time period, an estimated 617,488
people suffered nonfatal gunshot injuries in the United States.  The total number of people
shot in 2008 totaled 110,215--the highest total recorded during the nine-year period
surveyed in the analysis.

The analysis explains that “the common focus on gun deaths as a marker to illustrate
America’s ‘gun problem’ obscures an alarming trend.  The number of persons who suffer
nonfatal gunshot injuries--that is, who are shot but do not die--has risen…, this means
simply that more people are being shot by guns every year.  In other words, America’s
gun problem is getting worse, not better.  More guns means more shootings.”

Better Medical Care Has Kept Gun Death Constant, But Total Number of People Shot
Has Risen Dramatically in the United States

He was fired because his views didn't express the opinion of the majority of the readers and it is the readers who in the end make the decision. Guns & Ammo is like any other business, if you lose your base you lose your business, no difference. I wonder if a magazine like "The American Prospect" started putting Bill O'Reilly or Hannity articles in their magazine how that would work out, 99% chance their magazine would lose the majority of their customers.
