Instead of whining about "big govt", today's Republicans could be working on programs that help
Americans instead of working on ways to screw Americas who aren't wealthy.

No the government you want just wants to attack those who actually employ people, and if that wasn't bad enough you want people to jump over hurdles to actually try to create a business. Schenectady is the perfect example of this

"In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a Patriot."

Here's what today's Republican party is NOT:

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

In the 60's there were jobs training programs for minorities and people who had no job skills or were
chronically unemployed.
I know of two people who trained in these programs and it was exactly what they needed.  Since starting
on these training programs, these people have supported themselves with out any other govt aid and
continued to work until retirement.
Govt didn't CREATE THESE JOBS, they offered training and placement for people who needed it... AND IT
WORKED!

I worked for a short time in a Jet Engine Manufacturing facility.  They partnered with the Govt to offer
training for unskilled workers.  Some of the workers didn't qualify in the training period, but most did
and continued to work at this facility as useful members of society making a living wage and with out
any govt assistance.  A success!

Instead of whining about "big govt", today's Republicans could be working on programs that help
Americans instead of working on ways to screw Americas who aren't wealthy.

Why should the goverement train employees for private companies?  Isn't that the companies investment.  Goverement training programs is just another form of corporate welfare.  I see Schenectady County sponsor job fairs for private companies, when did the taxpayer decide to pay for recruiting and training for multi-million dollar companies?

I thought you were against corporate warfare box?

The company that I worked for had problems getting people with machining experience.  They made
Jet Engine Parts which was a well paying manufacturing job.  They threatened to move their business
to the Detroit area where there was an abundance of experienced machinists.
State and Federal dollars would go to train these employees and get them started on a 6
month qualifying basis.
Many of the people being trained WERE ON PUBLIC ASSISTANCE OR UNEMPLOYMENT.  Instead
this program took them off of welfare and unemployment and put them to work at a well paying job.
The Jet engine company got what it wanted... experienced machinists.
The jobs stayed in place so the state got what it wanted.
The taxpayers who paid the unemployment and welfare benefits got many off of assistance
forever.
The people being trained now had a good job that is still in demand today.

Everyone succeeded.  Everyone moved up together.  A govt success story that only needed a push
to get started.

if schooling wasn't such extortion. why is it the greatest extortionist? because every time the government 'helps' the tuition can
be raised, because who would say no to that white horse.......

Expanding govt with programs that help people get jobs,  in time of high unemployment is a valid
function of govt.
The anti govt addicts, want to stop govt...all govt, the good, the bad and the in between.  They make
no distinction between them.

Job creation is not the function of the government.

It's irony, because government regulation and taxation caused the joblessness.

You want to add more "cause" and expect to see less "effect"

That is totally absurd.

Yep, it was magical and totally free.

No taxpayers lost their homes in this massive corporate welfare fiasco.

Taxing Peter to train Paul is not improvement.

The corporation got what they wanted, tax dollars.

Starve Obamacare if you want... You'll take away a whole bunch of young Republicans health care!
GOP young adults LOVE OBAMACARE!!!

Obamacare's  requires that insurers continue policies to children whose parents have coverage
until they turn 26. The Commonwealth Fund last week released an interesting study
of young people and Obamacare.
The report also found that Republicans were more into this provision of the ACA than Democrats.
Maybe it’s because they were more likely to be benefitting from the expansion.
“In March 2013, 63 percent of Republican young adults had enrolled in a
parents’ policy, compared with 45 percent of Democrats,” the report said.

Go ahead and cut ObamaCare... and watch all those Young Republicans Join The
Democrat Party!
