Incorrect again.

In a recent Wall Street Journal/Marist College statistical sample of New Yorkers replied

60% said the law was "just right' or "didn't go far enough"
30% say it "went too far".

A statistical sample is not most New Yorkers.

You just swallow hype by the gallon.

The poll also fails to display the ratio between how many people said GFY and hung up the phone,
and those who responded.

Without that data, the poll is seriously skewed in favor of gun grabbers.

What percentage of those who responded were gun owners?

Seriously, these polls represent skewed data designed to meet the agenda of the publication/institution.

What percentage of the respondents were registered voters?

It's propaganda, plain and simple.

Designed to lead the uninformed voter to a programmed response.

* Judge refuses to block tougher NY gun law *

Justice Thomas McNamara said case law by New York’s top court prevents him from reviewing Gov.
Andrew Cuomo’s justification for pushing the bill quickly through the Legislature instead of waiting
the three days usually required. Cuomo used a “message of necessity” to skirt the waiting period.

No big surprise... But, I think there should be no revisions of the law...period...
All state residents should live with what the law says...If it was so important to get passed using "message of necessity", then it's a necessity the law stays as passed.

Yup, I agree!  The cops weapons should have the same restriction as stated in the original law passed.  Our lawmakers were hard at work and took the time writting this legislation to protect US.  So obviously their restrictions on police magazine capacity should be upheld.  Our legislators shouldn't let themselves be bullied by the police unions to exempt them from these restriction on magazine capacity.

NY gun law provisions take effect Saturday

New York’s new gun control law now requires federal background checks for private firearms sales.
Dealers already must use the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System before they sell guns.

Federal law prohibits sales to many convicted criminals, people judged mentally defective, fugitives and illegal aliens.

Other provisions effective Saturday require mental health professionals to report patients likely to seriously
hurt someone and set tougher penalties for many gun crimes.

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

VA Won't Follow NY Gun Law, Report Troubled Vets

Mar 12, 2013

ALBANY, N.Y. - The federal Department of Veterans Affairs says its mental health professionals won't comply with a new gun law in New York that requires them to report the names of patients they believe likely to hurt themselves or others.

The reporting provision is set to take effect Saturday.

Several veterans and their advocates say it would deter many from seeking counseling and medications to deal with post-traumatic stress disorder or other psychological issues. Veterans fear their rights would be taken away.

Under the law pushed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the information would be used to determine whether someone should give up a gun license or weapon.

VA spokesman Mark Ballesteros says federal laws protecting veterans' treatment records take precedence.  http://www.military.com/daily-news/2013/03/12/va-wont-follow-ny-gun-law-report-troubled-vets.html

The VA isn't the only ones who won't obey it, anyone who gives a damn about their rights won't obey such a piece of sh*t unconstitutional law.
