The truth of the matter is that the dems would have encouraged EE to continue collecting her tax paid salary until her term was up. Hell, the dems have been encouraging her to do this for over one year. However, she became one of many elephants in the election room, so she was then encouraged to resign. And ironically....right at the height of a campaign blitz!

Rotterdamians can see right through this set up!! This isn't about EE anymore......it is about how shallow the rotterdam dem party is!

Mertz,

The TRUTH of the matter is that Mrs. Esposito and her family made the decision -- on their own.  She was neither encouraged or discouraged from any course of action by members of the party.

Your allegations are absurd and not based in reality -- but then that is how you governed when we had the misfortune of having you on the town board.    You campaigned and governed based on absurd ideas coupled with lies and ignorance of the facts.  So much so - that your own party threw you overboard 2 years ago.

You can think I'm mertzie all ya want...but I aint. And the truth is that these so called allegations came right out of the rotterdam dem camp!!!
The dem candidates are getting hit with questions about EE while going door to door. They had no choice but to have her resign!! And that IS reality 101!!

ROTTERDAM
Absent town clerk cites attacks, quits

BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter

Longtime Town Clerk Eunice Esposito has resigned after more than 15 months on a medical leave, sending the town’s political parties scrambling to find candidates for the two years remaining in her term.
In a three-page, occasionally caustic letter, the 84-year-old Democrat cited the effect of politics on her health as the driving reason for her resignation, effective July 31. She indicated that “unscrupulous people” were making unwarranted attacks on her and lobbing false accusations to further their own agendas.
“The culmination of everything that has happened in the recent past has literally effected [sic] my health to the point that my doctors collectively have determined and highly recommend that I tender my resignation before I do irreparable physi- cal damage to myself,” she wrote in the letter dated Sunday.
Esposito doesn’t specify who was attacking her or making accusations. Calls to her Keator Drive home were not answered.
There’s been much speculation about Esposito’s future, with some suggesting that she’s no longer even living in Rotterdam. Her two-story home appeared empty during a visit this spring, and many of her personal effects were removed from her offi ce recently. .....................>>>>........................>>>>.......................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r00103&AppName=1

She is just another DEM legacy, a mere piece of Rotterdam history!  Time to move on and forward, and part of this would be to restore the Town Clerk's elected term back to two years like it used to be.  Add an election referendum to change it back, and let's put the Police Safety Bldg. scheme on there while we are at it!  Learn from your mistakes and take precautions to protect the taxpayers dollars in the future.

Gee thanks EE for calling the taxpayers 'unscrupulous'. I didn't know that when one brings illegal activity to light it was called  an 'attack''! And 'false accusations'....ADMITTED FRAUD???

Now that's a stretch, eh?

Leave it up to Mertz (bumblethru) and the rest of the Nattering Nayboobs to try to make a political issue of someone's poor health.    Quite honestly, you are all lower than pond scum.

WHAT???  Eunice made a political issue out of her poor health.  Did you read the resignation?

She resigned 3 months before the election so she wouldn't be a drag on the Democrat candidates.  She soaked the Rotterdam taxpayers for as long as politically possible.  She should have resigned a year ago if it was politics that caused her illness.  BUT NO...She decided to bend the taxpayer over and give it to them dry one last time, and justified her unearned paycheck as political revenge against ST and GP.

I don't buy the "poor little ole grandma" sob story.  She is as crooked as crooked Rotterdam democrats get.  The real shame is, there is a park named in her honor.  I don't know how Rotterdam can honor such an abuse of elected office.

Mrs. Esposito served .......her .....professionalism .....

So, DV, notarizing a document for a person known to be dead is "professionalism"    ??????     Is it???????

See how TOTALLY IGNORANT you are DV.......   BY LAW a person must appear IN PERSON and sign his/her signature IN THE PRESENCE of the notary.

So in the course of a government position, an elected official breaks the law......DV defines that as "professionalism."

It would be one think of the notary was employed in the private sector and not beholden to the public.    However if an employee of a bank was a notary and did what EE did, the employee WOULD BE FIRED ON THE SPOT!

But this was not the private sector, this was a civil servant, a government official.

I don't normally respond to you -- but the FACT is that Mrs. Esposito did not intend to break the law .. she was trying to do a favor for an elderly shut-in.    The FACT is that  two former town employees - who knew theperson was dead -- sent the family members to Mrs Esposito to set her up.

Quite frankly, you are lucky that I don't know who you are and have never met you -- you are a shameless disgrace for a human being.   You attack my family members -- you attack elderly women -- you are bully that needs a good smack down to put you in your place.

And the next time you get the urge to ask me a question --- go f*** yourself instead.

Oh she will be remembered for a long time to come. She is the talk at most banks when folks go in to have something notarized.  They all make sure all their i's are dotted and their t's are crossed cause they don't want to end up like EE from rotterdam. And that is the TRUTH!!
