My chin is still on the floor! And I have to wait until my eyes go back into their sockets and my ears readjust!! Unbelievable!!

Fortunately I was able to attend this town board meeting.  They voted 4-1 to re-zone the housing on duanesburg rd. as residential.  To me that seems to go against what this administration campaigned on to increase the business base.  Reducing the amount of acres zoned as light industrial would seem to be a disincentive for future business development in the town of Rotterdam.
A gentleman spoke about the town board hiring a town ethics attorney with total disregard of the ethics boards recommendations.  The ethics board attorney hired by the board was a real estate attorney that works for the current administrations lawyer's(mr. brick) law firm.  I would think that there would be a conflict of interest since the lawyer representing the ethics board who is charged with oversight of ethical conduct of the board works for the majority's law firm.
Lastly  I was amazed to watch this administration orchestrate a vote on some sort of review committee and single out one of the nominees and publicly chastise this person.  To my knowledge this person who was nominated isn't a politician.  Ms DeLiva singled a women in the crowd out to explain her "no" vote and it seemed she voted no because of her personal dislike of the nominee based on a passing conversation in town hall.  It seemed pretty petty  During privilege of the floor one of our town residents took the board to task on the inappropriateness of the board in this matter.
I may have left some stuff out but I have to go to bed.

I cant wait to see Michelle Golden's face when see finds out she is responsible for transcribing the DVD of the meeting - you will love that job  - maybe thats why they hired a CSEA "typist" someone with a skill set

my attempt above was near impossible

also a white envelope marked confid - (i couldn't see the rest) was passed to Justin as he arrived right in front of the board

I thought April Fools Day was once a year?  I seems that at Town Hall it occurs every other Wednesday since the first of the year.

Thank goodness our fore fathers were smart enough to see the imperfections of democracy and put limits as to the number of years between elections to prevent any permanent damage caused by the temporary lapse of judgment by the electorate.

Matt Martin  - Discusses Senior topics every meeting
it should read Matt's Senior Moment
it is in good fun not to be disrespectful to either party

and on the subject of volunteers at the senior center for the kitchen

work a friggin weekend or after 5pm and you might get some help

some of us cant say FU to our employers to help out - we have to work to pay for the 83 year old town clerk who only has to give us the privilege of working one day a year for 52K a year and needs to appoint a deputy for 32K a year - how many feet of sewer or water pipe will 84K plus benies buy???

again send your old boots to all elected officials that have miss used your vote
