Maybe there really is a big tent.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

GB ~ You crack me up!  You are SAL, just the kool-aid Tom and Jerry drinking Republican!  The big tent?  Are you talking about camping, you know, environmental stuff and all?  Or are you talking about the party?  The problem with the republican party is trying to be a big tent, all inclusive.  When they should only support those who stick to the party ideology, that we know is NOT what Schenectady and Rotterdam party bosses do.  Instead of running Marchinkowski last time, they turned to a DEM HA!

Now GB ~ we know you'll get defensive about Tom and Jerry, the cartoon characters, but really ~ what has Tom accomplished in politics?  Nothing.   Besides padding his own pockets, what has Parisi accomplished?  Nothin.  The Dems have all the information they need to make a clean sweep, Tommasone, Signore, Mertz, Surhada and Marchinkowski (the "new republican guard" are all OUT, you won't get a better racing tip than that.  (Opening day and all)

Viscusi & Berrie have absolutely no chance.  Buchanan can't get anything together and shows no leadership as his party falls apart amidst infighting.  Look for the sleeping Republicans to wake up, the "new guard" will be old news.  At least with the old guard we didn't see this political corruption or childs play.

Sorry Mary, wrong time for you to align yourself with these jokers.

As much as I don't WANT to agree with Felipe, I gotta agree with him on these points about the republican party.  As for a "clean sweep" by the dems, I dunno about that however.  One party is as bad as the other right now.

I couldn't agree with you more on this one!

Right path? Is that why Obama is tanking in all the polls? There is nothing right about the DEMS. More good news; Boxer, Dodd, Gillenbrand and Paterson are all in finished for re-election. Throw them all out of office.

The pathetic thing about this County is that the REPS have been right on issue after issue. With a minority and a few brilliant bloggers they have stopped many stuna proposals. Then they run a Green in place of Joe Suhrada? Rotterdam is supposed to be their big stronghold?

The reps should have endorsed littlefield. Again....environmentalists create government programs at the taxpayers expense. Ms Barrie should have run as a dem.

At least the dems knew enough to get rid of leet, feet, peet, or whatever his name was. What are the reps thinking? Or are they?

Mr. Leet is a gentleman. He has nothing to be ashamed of in running for office. Just because he didn't have a "big name in town" didn't mean he was not a good man to make an attempt for office. And I say that no matter how different our politics are.

GB ~ I have to agree with you, Leet is a gentleman and well respected in the community.  He's the consummate nice guy, that's why he didn't finish as well in his last race.

But ~ it was the business community that asked the Dems to support DelGallo, who is a registered BLANK.  While I am sure he appreciates the Dem support, don't expect him to tow the party line on expanding government, creating new unions and increasing taxes (that's the Tommasone Administration).  DelGallo or McGarry offer an alternative to voters who are ashamed at where the Republicans have gone off track.

The Rotterdam Republican Party used to be about the people.  Do you remember the clam bakes?  Hundreds of people who socialized and believed in the party and its ideology.  These new guys are all about their own egos and pockets.  None of these guys put the party or the residents before themselves, that includes Tommasone, Signore, Mertz, Surhada and maybe even Marchinkowski (time will soon tell).  Buchanan is a disaster and a major disappointment, he has accomplished nothing.  Parisi is getting paid off to the tune of 5x the average Rotterdam household income, for part-time work.  Just ask anyone in town hall (except Tommasone who signs his checks) and they will tell you that Parisi is nowhere to be found.  Even though I kinda like Mertz, you have him to blame for those jokers (ask anyone on the planning board what they think of Parisi ~ except of course those getting paid).

I don't know leet, feet, peet. Never met him...ever!

As far a sparky (aka f.dg) I don't have the positive take on him like filiipe does. As I stated before, we had a town businessman on the board once...and that was quite enough for me and many others! Mr. Joey 'abstain', was more concerned about his business and how his decisions would effect his business than he was about US THE TAXPAYERS! Sorry...don't wanna go down that road again!

And if you are saying that f.dg will NOT follow his fellow dems, can you say the same about vellano? She is on the same flier with judy dago supporting all of the government taxpaid programs. I believe they will both walk lock step with the dems. They also will be beholden to 'the party'. Mark my words!

And yes I do remember the rotterdam republican club and how they use to have clam bakes. Gee, wasn't that before Judy Dago and her family and close friends sold it?

And as far as Ms.Barrie....she should have run as a dem.
