Good for Mr.Surada----big deal.....everyone else does what they can too.....so let the Marines do what they want.....
He doesn't get my vote based on that deed he did.....

I will file him in:

"What a nice man"

He won't get my vote for 2 reasons.
1. his stand on paying for rems...not conservative
2. his running against his own party member....that is just plain nuts!

Joe Suhrada served in the US Army. If the Marines wanted to honor him for his honorable stance on Veterans Affairs-Big Deal? Funny coming for those that never served anything except themselves to public largess.

Felipe is correct about the letter writer. Talk about a tempest in a tea pot. But guess since he signed his name some here will approve? Joe needs to be clearer about REMS and his reason for dropping down to Town Board.

Joe Surhada never claimed to be in any branch of the service. being in a veterans support organization doesn't mean he had to serve in uniform. Anyone can join if they support the troops and mission of the MC. I doubt he would be a good bureaucrat in national health administration or any other bureaucracy. Why would he want to? This place gets weirder and weirder!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Mr. Suhrada has built a career on "standing against "fill in the _____".  People do not want professional naysayers in office; they want leaders who can lead.  As laudable as it is that he is sometimes the only one to vote no on certain things, the bigger question is why is he so perpetrually unpersuasive to his colleagues on the right and left?  Maybe it is because he is typically really wrong.  Albeit wrong with bluster and indigation and cliche.

Tell me why 8 (from what I could count) campaign volunteers were in my neighborhood last night dropping brochures?  They even dropped their information at my door and I am a registered republican!

Funny, I'm a registered Conservative and all I get is the Democrat's junk thrown on my front door.  How do you know that all of those 8 volunteers were in the neighborhood for the same reason?  Maybe they just knew that they shouldn't come to your house for one reason or another.

Be we all know he wouldn't have won again. He knows that too. And that is why he is running for the town board. What will happen if he ends up being the only rep on a dem controlled town board?
