Did you actually sign up for ObamaCare?
If you didn't, the "you can't keep your doctor" doesn't apply to you...

I don't have to, I'm on Medicare. The whole process of passing this law was based on lie after lie and a lot of people got hurt very bad. I won't be hurt until 2018 when I'm penalized for my earned union funded plan.

Nope, I've  got great healthcare...I have a skill set that companies will line up for and provide the benefits to draw employees.

I have had a doctor refuse to accept me as a patient due to being on Medicare, my co-pays went up, and the cost of my prescription drugs increased by double.

medicare IS the ACA....

and YES...death panels do exist, just not in name.....

the past health 'care' system had the insurance companies telling you your mortality....the ACA will do the same but call it different.

you could argue that it's about selling a service or encouraging the will to live and not killing hope....

however a lot of docs are not inclined to express a prognosis that is difficult for the 'poor bedside manner' or the poor rating on their
practice....

there's A LOT of whitewash out there....remember, the little questionnaire about your visit to the ER/MD office isn't about your actual
visit and outcome...IT'S ABOUT PERCEPTION....much like advertisers do with breakfast cereal......

HEALTH care is different from MEDICAL care are affected by INSURANCE (whether private/social)

type 2 diabetes is a chronic issue of chronic lazy/poor healthcare choosers  and I bet if an MD/NP/PA had a straight up discussion
about it they would get a 'poor score' on the questionnaire....you see, a whitewashed service will be made based on the palate of
the public.

Primary Causes of Type 2 Diabetes
Being obese or overweight puts you at significant risk for developing type 2 diabetes. Four out of five people with type 2 diabetes are overweight or obese.

“One of the links with obesity is that fat induces a mild, low-grade inflammation throughout the body that contributes to heart disease and diabetes,” says Vivian Fonseca, MD, professor of medicine and pharmacology and chief of endocrinology at Tulane University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.

Excess fat, especially abdominal fat, also changes the way that your body responds to insulin, leading to a condition called insulin resistance. With this condition, your cells cannot use insulin to process blood sugar out of the blood, resulting in high blood sugar levels.

While not everyone with insulin resistance develops diabetes, people with insulin resistance are at increased risk of type 2 diabetes.

Poor Eating Habits
Eating too much of the wrong kinds of foods can increase your risk of type 2 diabetes. Studies have shown that eating a diet of calorie-dense, refined foods and beverages, such as sodas or fruit juices, and too little raw fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can significantly increase your risk of type 2 diabetes.

Too Much TV Time

An analysis of health and nutrition data from a nationally representative sample of adults between the ages of 20 and 54 years of age showed that people who watched television more than two hours a day were more likely than their peers to be obese and to have diabetes.

This is probably due to snacking while watching TV. The study found that the frequent TV watchers consumed, on average, 137 more calories a day than their peers. Conversely, the data indicated that cutting TV time back to less than 10 hours a week and adding a daily 30-minute walk led to 43 percent fewer cases of diabetes in the study group.

Physical Inactivity
Just as body fat interacts with insulin and other hormones to affect diabetes development, so does muscle. Lean muscle mass, which can be increased through exercise and strength training, plays a role in protecting the body against insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes.

A six-month study of 117 older men and women with abdominal obesity recently demonstrated that a mix of aerobic and resistance training exercises helped to reduce insulin resistance.

Sleep Habits
Sleep disturbances have been shown to affect the body’s balance of insulin and blood sugar by increasing the demand on the pancreas. Over time, this can lead to type 2 diabetes.

An analysis of data from 8,992 adults who participated in the First National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey showed that over the course of a decade, those who slept fewer than five hours a night or more than nine were at increased risk of type 2 diabetes.

Genetics
Genes play an important role in determining a person's risk of type 2 diabetes. Researchers have identified at least 10 genetic variations linked to increased risk for this disease. However, your genes are not your fate; diet and exercise can prevent type 2 diabetes even if you have family members with the condition.

HEALTH care is a choice regardless of underlying diagnosis and precedes medical care
MEDICAL care is some choice and is the intervention if unable to manage your health care
INSURANCE is regulation/mandation with criterias

Obamacare Keeps Getting Better- It Saved Hospitals BILLIONS Last Year

Quoted Text
Ever since the Affordable Care Act (ACA) became law, Republicans have been crying, screaming
and stomping their feet like unruly toddlers. Their temper tantrum has resulted in more than 50
anti-Obamacare votes in the House since 2011.

They don’t seem to care that repealing Obamacare would add $210 billion to the federal deficit,
leave 16.4 million without insurance and deprive us of the ACA’s many other benefits, rights and
protections. They hate Obama and his healthcare act more than they love America or Americans.

Fortunately, the good news keeps rolling in and it’s becoming harder and harder for Republicans to
make their case against Obamacare. As reported by The Hill, Department of Health and Human
Services (HHS) Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell just revealed the latest ACA success story.
On Monday, Burwell announced that, Obamacare saved hospitals a whopping $7.4 billion dollars last year!

The savings came from a drop in emergency room visits and expansion of insurance programs
like Medicaid. In addition, more insured patients means fewer unpaid bills. Uncompensated care
dropped by one-fifth nationwide.

The majority of savings came from the 28 compassionate states and Washington, D.C. that
expanded Medicaid healthcare coverage for the poor. If every state had expanded Medicaid,
hospitals would have saved an additional $1.4 billion dollars.

"YOU CAN'T MAKE ME SIGH UP FOR OBAMACARE!"
("I'll just ask everyone to pay for my heart attack")

Recently, Sheriff Richard Mack, who brands himself as the “Constitutional Sheriff,” had a major heart attack.
Thankfully, he survived, but was left in crippling debt from medical expenses. No problem, you might think.
The new healthcare laws under the Affordable Care Act help prevent this exact thing from happening. Mack
is just luckily he had his heart attack after the law was enacted.
Mack never got health insurance under the ACA. He abstained from becoming insured as an expression of
protest against the “socialist” Obamacare.
As such, he is liable for the full expenses of his medical treatment. His family estimated it would probably
cost around $30,000. So because he didn’t have insurance, Mack’s family turned to the public to raise the
money to bail him out of this self-made financial crisis.
Mack got his $30,000 from strangers – although not the ones he probably assumed would come to his
defense. In a surprising turn, instead of like-minded anti-Obummers, thousands of people contributed with
the nearly-universal message of “We’re helping you out because you made a mistake, but please sign
up for health insurance!”

ObamaCare for ME, Not for YOU!

On Tuesday night, a Tennessee Senate committee voted to deny some 280,000 state residents
access to health care, rejecting a plan to expand Medicaid that would have cost the state nothing.

Following the vote, advocates for expansion ran into state Sen. Todd Gardenhire (R), awealth
manager at Morgan Stanley who sits on the committee. One activist, Damien Crisp, asked
Gardenhire if he would be willing to give up his own state-subsidized health insurance.

Gardenhire, in a video of the incident taken by another activist, turned around and said
something along the lines of "Not giving it up, a**hole" ?"
