Their personal view of God has nothing to do with their factual view of science.

really?

that's like saying a doc that only believes in big pharma but takes care of him/herself with vitamins and natural means
shouldn't affect the way they do medicine?

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

800,000-Year-Old Footprints Found
Quoted Text
Scientists in England have found human footprints that are at least 800,000 years old,
the earliest evidence of human life outside of Africa. The team discovered the footprints in
estuary mud in Happisburgh, on England's east coast. The prints are "a tangible link to our
earliest human relatives," says British Museum scientist Nick Ashton. The scientists believe
the footprints may be related to Homo antecessor, a.k.a. "pioneer man," which died out
800,000 years ago.

How can this be when the Creationists are positive that the earth is only 6000 years old???

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Yes... it's not in the Christian Bible so how can the scientists be sure???

They don't have to use the bibile, they can be sure by using the scientific method and proving it true?  Or they can continue to present the "facts" as their opinions and beliefs.  I know you will accept the later.

Some science is more precise than others.  When dealing with what happened on earth almost a
million years ago, there is lots of evidence but also lots of gaps.
That is why they say "believe" or "may".  With each passing year, science gathers more evidence
to indicate what the earth was like that long ago.
On the issue of Human Evolution in general... the mass of data leads all 'reasonable' scientists worldwide
to believe it as fact.

You are just as sure that science "may" have discovered an 800,000 year old human footprint as the creationists are sure the world is 6000 years old. LOL - FAITH!!!

No Cissy, you're wrong.  Since there is no positive exact date of the origins of the earth... no one
is 100% totally sure how old the earth is.
But one thing that is absolutely universally accepted among all serious scientists throughout the
world... It's older than 6000 years old!
Best estimates 4.54 billion years old.  Which is real close to the 6000 year old biblical version.

Sissie, senders and henry prefer to use what they can to prop their ultra-conservative white christian anti-gay anti-woman bible thumpin views. Too bad these guys are all about being told what to think and trying to tell others what to think than actually learning how to think.

The footprint being 800,000 years old was determined using time-tested repetitive methods. The footprint was made approx. 800,000 years ago. That is not in question. What left that footprint is in question. Based on the available evidence it is most reasonable to expect the footprint to be made by a human ancestor. Homo Erectus or Homo Heidelbergensis or Homo Antecessor could be likely candidates.

What the bible says is moot. The god of the bible has been falsified.
