evolution....use it or lose it....that means stop giving over critical thinking skills to governments and select few 'experts'

we will evolve ourselves right back to pond scum....

The only one that actually existed!!!

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Science is great, so long as political hacks don't manipulate it to push a political agenda. You use it to end all inquiry and debate, proclaiming one piece of EVIDENCE as FACT.

Hey sissiero- 2 perfect examples of your ultra-conservative buddies manipulating to push your political agenda are creation science and global warming scoffers.

Theory vs Scientific Theory

Quoted Text
A scientific theory is “a comprehensive explanation of some aspect of nature that
is supported by a vast body of evidence.”

In other words, it’s not your everyday hunch, or speculation, or guess. When you say,
“I have a theory about that,” that’s what you’re talking about. A scientific theory is completely different.

The theory of evolution didn’t come from Darwin just randomly saying, “Hey, I have this theory that
we evolved from monkeys,” and then running a huge campaign to get it into all of our scientific
literature and education. In fact, for a very long time, the theory of evolution wasn’t widely
accepted, even among scientists.

The idea that a scientific theory is just a guess is a huge part of the problem. Scientific theories,
in reality, enable valid predictions, are based on real evidence, and have been tested repeatedly.
Theories do come from ideas, yes. Basically, a scientist has an idea, assumes the idea is true,
then sets about to see whether observation and experimentation bear that out. If it does, repeatedly,
in many different situations and scenarios, it moves to the realm of a theory. It must have a large
variety of supporting evidence, it must be testable, and it must be a broad explanation of a wide
range of things in a certain scientific realm, in order to even make it to being a theory.

Hard core creationists don’t accept that, and often confuse scientific theories with the everyday
definition of “theory” as an idea.

For those who are interested in Science (the kind that doesn't originate in the bible) be
sure to tune into COSMOS.  In the first part of the first episode Neil deGrasse Tyson explains
"scientific method".

Note:
If you happen to be a FoxSnooze Regular, a Climate Change Denier or a "Creationist",
don't bother to watch... You'd never understand it and actual science would only
confuse you further.

Really Henry??? Do you consider ALL OF FOX to be "FOXSNOOZE?"

Does FOX SPORTS reporting of NASCAR contain biased promoting one political set of NASCAR
drivers while minimizing the accomplishments of others?

Does Fox Weather give you happy forecasts to the RIGHT of the Weather Map and dismal forecasts
for those living on the LEFT?

It would be amusing to watch the FoxSnooze Follies attempt to report actual news and live up to
their motto... FAIR & BALANCED.

Cosmos on Fox network, and on National Geographic (also on TWC PrimeTime On Demand.)
Give it a try, you may learn something.

Cosmos Squashes Creationism Under the Weight of Evidence
Quoted Text

Watching the Christian Right, and especially the creationist wing struggle to counter
Cosmos each week is like watching a frightened, cornered animal that knows it is
about to die. Grabbing at straws each and every week, blasting out social media links
that are meant to reel their following back in as their eyes are opened to the greatness
of the scientific method.

A series like Cosmos shows the world that facts are always better than fairy tales.
