Well it would be good to know about such things before renewing a contract, would it not? As being non-compliant might be something that comes back and bites them on the butt, or rather bites those who have a contract with them for service on the butt.

The Rotterdam Town Board plans on contracting the Paramedic and Ambulance Service to an outside "for Profit" agency, essentially shutting down your hometown ambulance, Rotterdam Emergency Medical Service(REMS)

REMS is a not for profit organization that is ready, willing and prepared to continue the paramedic services with the same award winning care you have come to expect and deserve

Please sign & return the attached card to Rotterdam EMS and we will personally deliver them to Supervisor Buffardi's office. Tell hem to keep REMS as your primary EMS responder in the Town of Rotterdam

Supervisor Buffardi,

Please keep REMS in the town of Rotterdam.  REMS will provide paramedic and ambulance service at no cost to the Town of Rotterdam.

Why would you even consider a "for profit" service?

You pay taxes?   Provide the documentation provide a link here to the OFFICIASL town TAX ROLL listing YOUR name as a taxpayer.

More fairy tales.  You really have the wildest imagination.

By the way, how is that cave you are hiding in these days because you avoid commenting on all the truths coming out more and more about the city, huh?   Too embarrassed to speak about the failing home sales, falling tax base, failing property values, homes that sit for two years unsold because people don't want to live in the city, with an over-abundance of houses available to buy in the city a dem councilperson has also decided to flee the city and her house is not selling, gang assault at the taxpayer paid theater.  You don't want to address the facts--facts that have a wealth of evidence.  Where is YOUR evidence that the city is doing well, huh?   TOTAL SILENCE

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

I would give the ambulance contract to the highest 'private business' bidder....PERIOD!!!

A reputable, responsible, self sufficient, established PRIVATE BUSINESS!!

And so far there is only ONE that fits that description in the running.

I've said this before, but it needs to be said again, this issue was already handled by the voters in 2010!!! REMS lost, fair and square, this is gov't at it's worst. For all the Dems that got upset at the federal gov't shut down and the reps not honoring what was already voted on and passed, at the local level you've done even worse.

the ambulance companies will get swallowed up by ACA....the managers of such institutions are the wesley mouches of that
part of the system....

they are the 'rich' cogs.....and they require A LOT of grease

Nobody gets out of life alive. Obama/Hansen/DiLeva/Buffonti/Paulino want to make sure that you leave a little early, that's all.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
