This is America, everybody is guilty of something.

REALLY?  Pretty stupid statement I think. Law says we are all innocent until PROVEN guilty.
So your opinion is that we are all guilty until proven innocent...YUP sounds about right for you!.

A grand jury endorses a presumption of guilt before a trial.  Most countries gave up the grand jury.  The fact that Zimmerman was tried without a grand jury indictment may have helped him with the not guilty verdict.

I understand that you are guided by clichés' and slogans like "innocent until proven guilty"(Coined by Sir William Garrow).  But the state’s ability to keep the accused jailed until trial, and get a grand jury indictment, the presumption of guilt has been pretty well established.  When the prosecution brings a case to trial, they are not presuming innocents; they have the burden of proof to get a conviction.

Talking to a friend of mine from England, he felt the U.S. justice system is a very slanted system.  With the politically elected prosecutors and judges, to the grand jury indictment (presumption of guilt), to the rules in which the lawyers can present their cases to the jury (the rhetorical language they are allowed to use).

Martin Family Lawyer, Says 'Biggest Mistake Was To Ignore Race'

Quoted Text
One of the lawyer's for Trayvon Martin's family said that the prosecution should have focused
more on race.

Natalie Jackson argued that the defense used certain racial biases to their advantage,
attempting to paint a picture of Trayvon Martin as a thug who used drugs and got in
trouble at school.
"Trayvon was not a burglar, he was not doing anything wrong," Sabrina Fulton told 'CBS
This Morning'. "He simply went to the store and was headed back home. And for somebody
to look at him and perceive that he was a burglar, that was the problem that initiated
everything."

"Obviously anytime you have a person that makes an assumption that a person is up to no
good, there’s some type of profiling there.  Was he racially profiled? I think that if Trayvon
had been white this wouldn’t have never happened.
Obviously race is playing some type of role.”

That was a pitch that the defense would have hit out of the park...
They could respondby subpoenaing the FBI interviews that led the FBI to conclude that Zimmerman was not racist and race was very likely not a factor in this incident.

YUP!  That would have been ONE factor in the trial.  The FBI found no evidence of racial bias.

NOPE, wrong again.  Guided by life experiences and my own ability to make my own decisions based on facts and reality.

BINGO...a correct statement for a change...YES, they have to believe someone is guilty and prove it "beyond a reasonable doubt"...that's exactly how it works.  If the prosecution thought the person was innocent, why would they prosecute them?   DUH!!!!

Lol "on what authority".  It's called critical thinking.  The grand jury cannot cross examine the states witnesses.  They are force fed the states evidence and are limited in their investigation.  The jurors are not screened for biases, no defense attorney for jury selection.

The grand jury is the state prosecutors rubber stamp.  Of course, I am no authority.

Keep on praising the Land of the Free's criminal justice system that has the highest incarceration rate in the WORLD.

Very good.  Then stop repeating the cliche "innocent until proven guilty".  It is presumed guilty until proven guilty.

NOPE, sorry...it's still my belief that a person is INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty...and you don't have the power to change that.
If you choose to feel the opposite, as you've stated, well that's on you...but I'm not going to change what I believe becuase you disagree!!!

Did you cross examine witnesses?  Did the state prosecutor offer evidence that may lead to the person being charged to be found innocent?  Did the state prosecutor offer evidence that gave reasonable doubt?

And it works both ways.  The prosecutor can present the states case to prevent an indictment.

No, didn't get to cross examine a witness even in regular court...that's what attornies are for.
Prosecutor presenting evidence to find a person innocent...now that's a first...you are delusional!
Proscution present evidence to support reasonable doubt...what LA LA land do you live in
try to understand ....................there is a difference between PROSECUTOR and DEFENSE!!!!
Prosecutor present evidence to prevent indictment...really?  So wouldn't they be called PUBLIC DEFENDER then!

What about Defense presenting evidence to show the client might be guilty?
What about Defense puting accused on witness stand when he knows they're guilty and will incremenate themselves?

Come on Cissy, even you know your statements are absurd......?
