When they started looking at the law, the person who initially wanted second-degree murder changed her vote to manslaughter, the juror said. Then they asked for clarification from the judge and went over it again and again. B37 said some jurors wanted to find Zimmerman guilty of something, but there was just no place to go based on the law.
JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!! JUST BECAUSE MC1 SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!!!
Then EVERY use of lethal force must be tried as murder or manslaughter. This include cops.
Every civilian who uses lethal force isn't tried for murder or manslaughter... why should cops.
A civilian (NOT A COP) George Zimmerman shot and killed a kid minding his own business on the way home from the store. That is reason to at least bring criminal investigation against anyone.

13 activists protesting Zimmerman verdict arrested overnight in Los Angeles
Quoted Text
At least 13 protesters were arrested in Los Angeles late Monday in a second night of unrest over the acquittal at trial of volunteer neighborhood watch guard George Zimmerman, officials said.
LA Police Department (LAPD) chief Charlie Beck tweeted: “Violence is never the answer. Urging all protesters around LA 2 let peace prevail. This is OUR City and we need to work 2gether 2 preserve it.”
The incidents followed protests Sunday night including one in which riot police broke up an ‘unlawful assembly” outside the CNN building in Hollywood, arresting at least six people.
Meanwhile multiple arrests were made further north in Oakland, on the San Francisco Bay, after hundreds of protesters stormed an interstate road and blocked traffic, the LA Times reported.

Initially the Zimmerman jury were evenly split... 3 for not guilty 2 for manslaughter 1 for murder.
Some on the board suggest that Zimmerman should not have been tried. It appears that the decision to convict was much closer than previously thought.
Because in Boxy's world 50% is deemed as 'close', the trial should have ended there.
So let's see.....
Local media pick up on a story that an almost white guy shot and killed a hoodie wearing black kid. Media plants 'race' and creates new sub race called 'White Hispanic', all hell breaks loose NBC doctors 911 call to make Zimmerman sound like he's the founding member of the White Puerto Rican KKK. POTUS drives a tanker truck full of gas into the fire and sets off a nuclear explosion with his 'If I had a son, he would be like Treyvon' speech.
Local police and DA refuse to charge Zimmerman with any crime because of facts, partial witness accounts and forensic evidence. Feds get involved, find nothing. State gets involved, special prosecutor appointed. Local police chief fired, Local DA removed. Zimmerman arrested. No grand jury to hear facts like in every other case. Special prosecutor unilaterally levies 2nd deg. murder charge. At trial, true facts become apparent, we find out that there is no White Puerto Rican KKK and Zimmerman isn't a racist.
In Boxy's world, this seems totally legit.
"Approval ratings go up and down for various reasons... An example is the high post 911 support for GWB even though he could be said to be responsible for the event." --- Box A Rox '9/11 Truther'
Melania is a bimbo... she is there to look at, not to listen to. --- Box A Rox and his 'War on Women'
That was the problem. Once the facts came out, nobody came.

It's called "A STRAW MAN"!
Description of Straw Man The Straw Man fallacy is committed when a person simply ignores a person's actual position and substitutes a distorted, exaggerated or misrepresented version of that position.
Some posters use a 'straw man' so often, I think they don't even realize that they are doing it. Pathetic!

The local police department conducted an investigation, the local DA reviewed the evidence, and the Feds did a hate crime investigation. All of them concluded, based on the evidence, and based on Florida law, showed justifiable homicide in self defense with no racial motivation.
You are suggesting that the initial investigation got it wrong, and now people are claiming the jurors have gotten it wrong.
Zimmerman has been called a vigilante for his actions...It is ironic that even after the legal process(over an above the legal process since the initial investigation cleared him) the mob wants vigilante justice of their own.
If Obama decides to get the attorney general involved, this will further destroy the legitimacy of local police and local DA's around the country. Why accept the ruling of a local court and verdicts of local juries, when we have the Feds doing their part to delegitimizing them?

yes, three for some type of conviction and three to aquit....UNTIL They looked at the evidence...more accurately, the lack thereof.... once the three followed the law and instructions from the judge, they realized they couldnt convict based on emotion or vigilantisim....as some who wanted Zimmeram convicted claimed he did....once they realized that, they came back with a proper verdict under the law... NOT GUILY.. case closed.

As I posted above, many (or all) on the jury may have considered Zimmerman "GUILTY" but there wasn't enough evidence to declare him guilty in a case of "not proven". Then not guilty is the only outcome.

73 year old musician attacked for dedicating a song to Trayvon Martin
Lester Chambers, the 73-year-old man who was part of the 1960′s soul group The Chambers Brothers, was performing at the Hayward Russell City Blues Festival in California on Saturday when he dedicated Curtis Mayfield’s “People Get Ready” to Trayvon. The attack starts at 4:15 of the video
Chambers was taken to the hospital, where it was found that he suffered bruised rib muscles and some nerve damage. The assailant, Andrews Potter, was arrested and charged with suspicion of battery (although since the attack was witnessed by so many and was even recorded, I don’t know how she was charged with only suspicion) which is a misdemeanor. She was released soon after. The Hayward Police have said they reserve the possibility of adding more charges.

You are a friggin hypocrite... you spend all this time saying that it didnt matter to you what the verdict was and then you rail against the decision. you are a fraud and only post on this board to rile up the righties..I do feel sorry for you...
Also sorry that you cant the face the fact the case IS closed...the justice system rendered its verdict, its not my problem if you cant except that..
People can think Zimmernan was "guilty" all day, but it doesnt matter... the prosecution did its best but failed to convince a jury...

Ahhh Tbird Feels Sorry For Me!
I would have wished for another verdict, but I'm satisfied that the jury did the best they could with the facts presented. I'm not complaining about the jury or their verdict.
Do I think that OJ is guilty? Yes of course I do. Do I think that Zimmerman is also guilty? YES!
I'm glad that for you "the case is closed" but for me and for much of America and especially for George Zimmerman, the case is far from closed.
