Really???
So Libertarians don't accept food stamps?  They don't use GOVT Funded infrastructure???
Libertarians don't collect unemployment insurance or get ObamaCare???
They don't get STAR exemptions on their school taxes?
Libertarian kids don't get free or reduced lunch or breakfast at schools???

I think you better check!

Everybody is forced to pay into it.  If people were allowed to keep their money, could they afford these services without government assistance?

Same argument, same replies as always why bother.

How did humans make it this far without all that crap, like I said according to you we should of been dead long ago. You seem to be the one who needs someone to hold your hand through life, luckily for you the government was there to be daddy and to take care of you lmao.

I consider myself lucky.  Never on public assistance, good employment, no food stamps, no school
lunch program etc.
I never had a lot of money but I always had enough to pay my bills.
BUT,
At any time in my life a medical disaster or car accident could have changed all that.  Through
no fault of my own, I could have been disabled and soon broke.  I'm glad that govt programs are
in place for those who do need it.

This is the same ole "do it on my own" crap that the GOP has been selling for decades.
THE TRUTH...

When these "DO IT ON MY OWN" @ssholes buy the cheapest insurance available, or have no
health insurance at all... IT'S THE TAXPAYER WHO PAYS THEIR MEDICAL BILLS.  IT'S THE TAXPAYER
WHO EDUCATES THEIR KIDS AND IT'S THE TAXPAYER WHO HOUSES AND FEEDS THEIR FAMILIES.

Go Do It On Your Own... but when you lose your job or in a serious car wreck and are disabled...
JUST GO DIE AND TAKE YOUR WIFE AND KIDS WITH YOU.  DON'T COME BEGGING WITH YOUR
I CAN DO IT ON MY OWN BS!

Who said "do it on my own"?  Of course I would summons the help of a teacher to teach my children, and I would voluntarily pay for it.  Of course I would voluntarily summons the help of the insurance agent for unemployment, health, and disability insurance, and I would voluntarily pay for it.  Hey, I have life insurance, and nobody made me buy it, I actually bought it voluntarily...I know, I know, it sounds crazy that a person would voluntarily purchase to life insurance policy to protect their family.  That probably sounds selfish to you.   If I told you the value of my life insurance policy, you would probably think I'm "greedy", and that I should pay the same premium for my policy and receive less of a death benefit in the name of equality.

Of course society would still work together to take care of each other by offering services to each other.  You just believe that the state must MANDATE these things that would otherwise be done voluntarily.  You want a top down social order created.  You have no faith in humanity.  Sad.

Yadda Yadda Yadda!  Same Sh!t Different Day.

The entire post can be boiled down to one line:
"You just believe that the state must MANDATE these things that would otherwise
be done voluntarily"

Yes.  That's correct.
People like Cicero cry and sob about the GOVT forcing people to be insured... yet history proves
that people... PEOPLE LIKE CICERO... do not buy insurance for every possibility and the
TAXPAYER then pays Cicero's bills.
There are now laws in NY State that auto insurance is mandatory... before those laws, a person
could be walking down the street and be severely injured by an uninsured driver and who pays?
The TaxPayer of course.

Cissy wants to put all his money in his pocket, because he knows if he has no insurance... the
rest of us (the responsible Americans) will pay his and his family's bills.

I didn't ask the rest of you to pay...When did that happen?

Hey bud, your boy Obama voted to give BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars to bankers that were "irresponsible", and you want me to believe the USG is concerned with a few $100K in medical bills for an uninsured middle class American?  Please!  I just want Obama and the rest of the government to treat me like a banker.lol

Obama is treating you better than a banker...
He's offering you health care... even if you have an expensive pre existing condition.
He's providing you with food stamps, WIC, welfare, unemployment insurance, emergency ER care,
disability or disaster aid, and (except for the GOP House), a functioning government.

If today you were totally disabled, and your wife had to quit her job to care for you, even
with visiting nurse help... your assets depleted, your mortgage overdue, National Grid is
shutting off the power, no food in the fridge and your property tax is due...

Obama, and the Democrats will help you get through this disaster.

The Republicans will tell you to get a job and quit being so lazy.

rehab when you have a skiing accident at your age....that cost $$$$$$$$$$$.....and the investment into your age
doesn't work out...does it??????

skiing IS  a rich mans sport so you must have AFLAC?????

Not surprising that people are leaving both major parties to become independent voters, as Bumble says they're both the same.

But when those same Independents vote... they side with the Democrats!

If you follow politics you'll see that the first off year election after a president is elected, is
almost always followed by a drop in his parties results.
Quoted Text
"Usually in off-year elections the party holding the presidency loses seats in
Congress. Why? This is mainly because in the midterm elections the weak candidates
who rode in to victory on the coattails of their party's presidential candidate two years
earlier find it difficult to win when running for election on their own "
