Obamacare Hyperventilation

~Obamacare has existed for more than six weeks.
~Even the lessons of the last six weeks are more ambiguous than you might think. Medicaid
is signing up customers rapidly [and] the victims of Obamacare — people in the individual
market forced to buy more expensive plans — are almost certainly far fewer than widely
believed.
~Democrats remain unified behind Obamacare.
~The website is kind of working already.

“All sorts of things will happen to Obamacare in the next few months. At least some of those
things will be bad, because any large enough enterprise, public or private, has bad things happen.
One thing that can be predicted is that more and more people will start signing up for
Obamacare between now and the end of March, which means the constituency for the
law will steadily grow. … But at some point, having state exchanges where people buy
private insurance, with rules preventing abusive practices, will simply be part of the backdrop
of health insurance.”

Most Americans Oppose Obamacare Repeal Despite Rollout Troubles

"The results of a recent United Technologies/National Journal Congressional Connection Poll shows
that “fewer than two in five Americans say Obamacare should be repealed.”

How much fewer than two in five?  Two in five is 40%.  Is it 39%?

Let's write it this way.

"Nearly 40% of Americans polled support the total repeal of Obamacare"

Woman Hailed by President as Obamacare Success Story Now Can't Afford Obamacare

CNN reports that a woman the president hailed as an Obamacare success story just realized she won't be able to afford Obamacare because it's too expensive:
"Jessica Sanford was cited by the president as an Obamacare success story at a health care event he had here at the White House in the Rose Garden on October 21," says a reporter for CNN from the White House. "That of course being just last month. The 48-year-old single mom from Washington state purchased what she considered to be affordable health care, life-changing event, she said, on the Washington state health exchange. She decided she was so excited about this news, she wanted to write an e-mail to the president to say that this had really changed her life and that she was thankful for the Afforable Care Act. The president included her e-mail in his remarks to people on hand for the event. Here's a bit of what the president had to say."

The CNN report quotes President Obama as saying, "I recently received a letter from a woman named Jessica Sanford in Washington state. And here's what she wrote, I am a single mom, no child support, self-employed. and I haven't had insurance for 15 years because it's too expensive. I was crying the other day when I signed up, so much stress lifted."

But days, just really three days after she was mentioned by the president, Jessica Sanford started having problems, she was receiving letters from the Washington state health exchange," reports CNN. "The first letter telling her that tax credit was reduced, therefore, increasing the cost of her health care plan and the, take a look at this, then she received a letter just last week telling her that her tax credit had been taken away all together. Show you another document here, showing what the tax credit worked out to be... zero dollars according to this document that was provided to us by Jessica Sanford. She describes all of this as a roller coaster ride. Now she says she can't afford insurance in Washington state because of the new developments."

Sanford tells CNN that she's embarrassed. "It was a huge disappointment, especially since I had, you know, my story had been shared by the president. I felt like, you know, I just felt really embarrassed that, you know, he quoted my story and then come to find that the Washington health plan finder, the website here in our state, had grossly miscalculated or they're having a problem figuring their tax credits. and so at least for right now, I don't -- I'm not going to be getting insurance," she says.

Yup!  Only 123 Massachusetts residents signed up for RomneyCare in its first
month of existence. Yet 36,000 people enrolled in the final month before
Massachusetts' individual mandate penalty kicked in, a sign that the federal
enrollment pace should pick up as well.

THERE IS NO Obama CARE.....there is NO national health CARE.......it is national health insurance....

the sad sad part about the stupid lazy public is that it actually ACCEPTS the term health CARE....people don't understand that
the 'care' offered will be very compelling.....access to medical treatment will ALL DEPEND on the healthCARE one is participating
in via compulsion and compliance....health insurance pays for medical treatment but NOT CARE....

DO NOT MIX APPLES AND ORANGES or you WILL lose your personal bodily freedom to National Health CARE via
compulsion to compliance for 'good outcomes'....

what are the good outcomes?????? anyone??? anyone?????

The Decentralization of Thought

Written by Matt Bergman on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 8:08 AM EST in Articles

google-voluntaryismFor many years, the common man was educated/conditioned in government schools.   He was spoon fed two common points of view differing ever so slightly to the left and right of each other by a handful of State controlled/censored media outlets. A human farm devoid of question for a system whose victims stretch the length of the entire planet.

In 2013, we the people, now more than ever, have the power to evolve past draconian statist semantics. Loaded speeches of patriotism calling for blind obedience and duty lacking foremost in any sort of rational idea. Ideologies that have long since run their crash course through history, time and time again. Social media outlets such as Facebook, Twiitter, blogs, etc… are making the decentralization of thought possible and free thought a reality.

Disbelief in the system is at a rampant all time high and ever expanding. More people everyday are referring to themselves as “independents” rather than associating themselves with either of the two political parties, whose actions almost always seem to fall disappointingly short of their words. Why call on government to fix problems that in most cases government caused in the first place?

Most people understand that monopolies tend to never render the best or even tolerable results. Most Americans feel differently about war, marriage equality, the drug war, the Patriot Act and an audit of the Federal Reserve than those who are in power. There is a definite ever expanding disconnect between the American people and our “elected officials”. Most people are socially liberal and economically conservative. I firmly believe that most people are libertarian and just don’t know it yet.

Conversely, technology is a double edged sword also being used by the State to snoop on the populous on a larger scale then ever before. However, the pros of this technological age definitely outweigh the cons. This is coming from a regular dude who started a Facebook page that has grown up to 40k plus “likes” in under three years. Four years ago, it was just me drunken rambling in a bar to a handful of people.  I was spreading dissent none the less, but the point is that technology provides a huge f**king podium for those who are so inclined.

Make no mistake about it, a grass roots, bottom up, idealogical revolution is here and on the rise. Principles of voluntaryism abound, centered behind a belief that any initiation of force is morally wrong whether that force is initiated by a man or a government.

Obama hits new low with Dems

By Amie Parnes
President Obama’s relationship with congressional Democrats has worsened to an unprecedented low, Democratic aides say.

They are letting it be known that House and Senate Democrats are increasingly frustrated, bitter and angry with the White House over ObamaCare’s botched rollout, and that the president’s mea culpa in a news conference last week failed to soothe any ill will.

Sources who attended a meeting of House chiefs of staff on Monday say the room was seething with anger over the immense damage being done to the Democratic Party and talk was of scrapping rollout events for the Affordable Care Act.

“Here we are, we’re supposed to be selling this to people, and it’s all screwed up,” one chief of staff ranted. “This either gets fixed or this could be the demise of the Democratic Party.

“It’s probably the worst I’ve ever seen it,” the aide said of the recent mood on Capitol Hill. “It’s bad. It’s really bad.”

Meanwhile, at a recent caucus meeting with Senate Democrats and White House chief of staff Denis McDonough, one senator stood up and asked for a political point of contact at the White House.

“There’s been an increase in frustration because people feel like they are continuing to be blindsided,” said one Democrat who attended the caucus meeting, adding that there’s a “check-the-box” mentality at the White House in dealing with lawmakers.

Democrats around Capitol Hill say there are lots of people to blame for the debacle that has engulfed them. But increasingly the anger is directed at one person only: Obama.

“Is he even more unpopular than George W. Bush? I think that’s already happened,” said one Democratic chief of staff.

Senior administration officials say they understand the frustration and anger on the opposite side of Pennsylvania Avenue and they realize Democrats are the ones who continue to take a hit.

But the senior officials say the most important thing the White House can do right now is to get the implementation of the healthcare law right. The feeling in the West Wing corridors lately is that once the rollout is fixed, the public will see all the positives behind ObamaCare.

“The policy will take care of the politics,” one senior administration official said.

But not everyone agrees with that sentiment — particularly those Democrats in both chambers who are up for reelection in 2014.

“They’re freaking out, as they should be,” said one senior Senate Democratic aide, adding that the rollout continues to be “a lasting mess.”       http://thehill.com/blogs/healt.....with-dems-at-capitol

Taking 'Obama' out of health care

President Barack Obama and loyal Democrats once embraced the term Obamacare to sell the American people on health care reform.

Not anymore.

With the president’s approval ratings at record lows, a broken website and Obama under fire for his pledge that people could keep their plans, the “Affordable Care Act” has returned.

The president didn’t say “Obamacare” once during his nearly hourlong news conference last week, while he referred to the “Affordable Care Act” a dozen times. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi went so far as to correct David Gregory on “Meet the Press” Sunday on the proper terminology. And White House talking points distributed to Democrats and obtained by POLITICO repeatedly refer to the Affordable Care Act in suggested sound bites, not Obamacare.

Calling it the Affordable Care Act has advantages for Democrats seeking to defend health care reform while still criticizing the bungled White House rollout. The phrase polls better than Obamacare — and people have responded more positively to the law’s benefits when they haven’t been told they come from Obamacare.

“You want the law to have approval rating higher than POTUS has,” a Democratic official said Monday.

“Obamacare” started out as a pejorative term during Obama’s first campaign, and Republicans, especially the tea party, embraced it during protests and rallies against the health care bill. The media generally steered clear as well — using phrases such as “health care reform” to describe the issue.

But Obama last year reappropriated the term for himself, making the phrase a staple of his stump speech and hawking “I (heart) Obamacare” bumper stickers.

“We passed Obamacare — yes, I like the term — we passed it because I do care, and I want to put these choices in your hands where they belong,” Obama said at a typical stop in Iowa last October.

Now, the phrase is vanishing from official use. White House website posts in July (“Obamacare in Three Words: Saving People Money”) and late September (“What Obamacare Means for You”) called the health care law the O-word. But now HealthCare.gov is almost entirely scrubbed of “Obamacare” and the law is called the Affordable Care Act in nearly every instance. Health insurance exchanges run by states don’t use the term Obamacare at all.

A 22-page White House document issued to Democratic Sunday show guests uses the word Obamacare only under a “general points” subheading and in a section debunking a purported myth that increased Medicaid enrollment would lead to an older, sicker population signing up for health care through the exchanges.

Instead, the document contains standard White House health care talking points: “The Affordable Care Act is more than a website”; “We have a great product that people like and tons of interest in the product”; and Obama’s “administrative proposal will give consumers more information and choices, including keeping their old plans.”

The White House talking points suggest that Democrats respond to GOP attacks by pointing to October, when the government was shut down and Congress was staring at a potential default.

Second wave of health plan cancellations looms
Published November 20, 2013

A new and independent analysis of ObamaCare warns of a ticking time bomb, predicting a second wave of 50 million to 100 million insurance policy cancellations next fall -- right before the mid-term elections.

The next round of cancellations and premium hikes is expected to hit employees, particularly of small businesses. While the administration has tried to downplay the cancellation notices hitting policyholders on the individual market by noting they represent a relatively small fraction of the population, the swath of people who will be affected by the shake-up in employer-sponsored coverage will be much broader.

An analysis by the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank, shows the administration anticipates half to two-thirds of small businesses would have policies canceled or be compelled to send workers onto the ObamaCare exchanges. They predict up to 100 million small and large business policies could be cancelled next year.

"The impact I'm mostly worried about is on small young, entrepreneurial firms that will suddenly face much higher health insurance premiums if they want to offer health insurance to their employees," said AEI resident scholar Stan Veuger. "I think for a lot of other businesses ... they can just send their employees to the exchanges or offer them a fixed subsidy every month to buy health insurance themselves."

the GOP will pretend to have it fixed 'correctly', when in fact it was the fu(king goal the entire time....access to health insurance
and medical care based on fear makes for GREAT cash flow or cash 'keeping'....the status quo will remain and the collective plebs
will give a giant sigh of relief and say "at least it wasn't as bad as the last offering of national health insurance." when in fact
the status quo of the top of the pyramid REMAINS.....

Hackers Create ‘Destroy Obamacare!’ Program To Disrupt ObamaCare Website.

The failure of the Federal ObamaCare website is inexcusable... just think of how successful it might be if
ALL US Congressmen and ALL US Senators were working to get the system fixed.

On top of it's own software problems, DHS warned that the Healthcare. gov website had been the target
of at least 16 cyber-attacks.   These occurred between Nov. 6th and Nov. 8th and are currently under
investigation.

Recently, Arbor Networks, an online security firm, discovered a tool called “Destroy Obamacare!”
It is being distributed (by whom is not yet known) so it can be used to overload the Obamacare website.
According to Arbor, the program is written to perform constant, layered requests to get on two
healthcare.gov web pages: the home page and the “contact us” page. The tool is a Distributed
Denial of Service program.

What group would want to shut down ObamaCare and prevent Americans from getting affordable health care???
Hmmmmmmmm?  I wonder who it could be????

A Federal Government, which is capable of tracking every internet keystroke of every American, and can spy on their closest allies phone calls undetected, is not capable of protecting a website from hackers.

Go ahead dumb Americans, enter your personal information on Healthcare.gov, not only will the hackers get it, so will the NSA.

It's funny watching box float a conspiracy theory out there, suggesting some anti Obama group is conspiring to disrupt the website.  LOL!!!  Ohhh the desperation!
