Henry they don't realize that some people like to shoot competitive skeet, combat courses against the clock, pistol shooting for speed and accuracy, as well as hunting and self defense.
To them guns are just to kill people and nothing to do with competitions or having fun, that is why you can't even take these people seriously anymore, their agendas are crystal clear.

Box will have you believe that gun owners only want to shoot up schools. That's the premise of the argument. Every citizen must be subjected to a background check because everybody in America is a potential homocidal maniac.

Persons purchasing swimming pools should be made to present certified swimming lesson certificates for the entire family, and must provide a responsible designated lifeguard on duty for all swimming sessions.
~ Of the seventy-one gun deaths, all were children age twelve or younger. ~ Forty were accidents. ~ Those accidents include the death of two-year-old Caroline Sparks, who died after her five-year-old brother, trained in the use of firearms, picked up a loaded rifle and shot. ~ The remaining 31 gun deaths are homicides. FOUR of the victims were younger than one year; including three 6-month-olds and one 5-month-old. Of the four, three were killed by members of their own families.
how about car accidents parental beating deaths foster parent abuse head trauma accidents shall I go on?
...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS
How many posts have you made about pool deaths or choking deaths? 0 If 20 kids drowned in a Sandy Hook Pool and there were reasonable actions to prevent those deaths I'd be posting about them... and you'd be posting about your OPEN POOL RIGHTS!
How many have you made about gun deaths 15-20, don't tell me your agenda is about saving kids. My agenda, like the majority of NRA members and the vast majority of all Americans, is reasonable gun laws.
I have stated numerous times all gun owners should take classes and teach their kids gun safety and proper care, you instead just want to bash all gun owners because it fits your anti-2nd amendment agenda. You have stated... wow! Why not pass legislation that requires all gun owners to take a safety class??? Sounds like reasonable actions to me.
If you have kids and want to take them swimming you would teach them how to swim 1st would you not, it is no different then guns, not teaching them could be fatal. One major difference that you completely ignore... my kid may die because GUNHUGGERS KIDS shoot guns.

I am not a big fan of rulles and regulations. but have you ever heard of the UBC- the uniform building code. ? It requires a certain size wire or a beam needs to be a certain size to carry a weight load, otherwise you could use a 2x2 for the post on your porch.- to save on lumber cost,
When you get to the page on swimming pools- it says that you need a fence 6 ft hi - with a gate that will close automatically ,with no opening bigger than 4 inch square just in case the kid 3 doors down crawls out of his bed in the middle of the night and goes in your back yard. sure people still die- but not as many,
The main drain now needs to be plumbed a certain way to reduce the suction because a few people have actually gotten stuck,
In india the codes arent so strict- which is why buildings fall down there all the time and once in a while an elevator cable breaks- oops.
Now if you go to Mexico laws are different - based on french law. you would love it if you accidentally kill yourself - its your fault. No silly hand rail requirements. if there is no cover on the electrical panel dont put your hand in there.
Armed Security Officer Shoots Student (another 'good guy with a gun' shooting)
A man who police said was an “armed security officer” was being investigated after he accidentally shot a student Rangeview High School in Aurora, Colorado on Monday.
According to KMGH-TV, a school employee who also has a second job as a security officer had offered a student a ride home at the end of the day. The gun discharged, hitting the student in the leg.
The man took the student to a nearby hospital, where he was rushed into surgery with a “significant injury,” police said. The injuries were not expected to be fatal.

A new Public Policy Polling survey finds on the 6th month anniversary of the Newtown shootings that voters "are still angry with Congress over the lack of action on expanded background checks. They continue to have overwhelming bipartisan support with 71% of voters favoring them to only 22% who are opposed."
"This still has the potential to be a major issue in next year's midterm elections. 51% of voters say they're less likely to support someone who voted against background checks next year to only 14% who say they would consider that a positive.Even among Republicans 30% say they'd be less inclined to vote for someone who opposed expanded background checks to 25% more likely, so this isn't even something that would be a particular salient issue for potential primary challengers."

Support for stricter gun laws dropping, like I said in the other thread you can find a poll to fit any agenda

A new CBS poll claims that now only 47% of Americans want tighter gun laws; a significant 10% drop from polls taken just after the Newtown, Conn., shooting in December. The poll also reported that 39% of Americans want to keep the laws as they are now, with an additional 11% in favor of less strict gun laws.
