I wonder if Henry can answer this question... Would you rather face: 1. An armed assailant with an AR15 and 5 30 round magazines... or 2. As you post above, an assailant armed with a knife?
For some reason when put this way... GunHuggers always run away from their own words.
Easy question, but for some reason... a difficult answer!
Neither but I would want to be armed with what I feel comfortable with to defend myself, not what some girl private politician thinks I should own. Reality is criminals can get the guns, reality is cops will not be there to protect you, reality is some like you hate those who want to protect themselves instead of relying on others. That is the cold hard facts and no gun laws will change it.

My pistol is for self defense... so what makes you say that I hate those who want to protect themselves... when I have a weapon for that very reason??? (You just like to use the "THEY HATE OUR FREEDOM" rant! )
I would call 911 & put a round in the chamber... I hope to never to need it, but it's there if I do.
Henry just loves a strawman!!!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
All firearms bought over the Internet has to be shipped to a licensed gun dealer, its not like a gun was shipped right to his house. If it was a face to face sale then it would be different, by the way why is the preacher blaming the person who sold him the gun and not his son himself, for all we know it was his son who ground off the serial number as to not get the seller in trouble. And if it wasn't for the gun it would of been an overdose or a hanging or the thousand other ways to kill yourself, there is no story here.

anyone could take their lunch hour and ride to hamilton hill or crane street these day.....and for the right price, can buy a gun and a stash of your choice of drugs and be back to work under that hour lunch hour.

According to the link, This was an ILLEGAL GUN. The serial numbers were ground off so it was probably stolen. The proposal to track a gun from manufacture to it being destroyed would eliminate much of this problem. The guy who sold this gun knew it was illegal, and the man buying it knew it too. The more guns of this type on the streets the more death they will bring.

The more illegal you make them, the higher the value for the illegal gun dealers.
Making anything illegal has never stopped the item from being available.
The guys who allegedly destroy guns will get richer.

Then you assume that the Mexican government won't flood America with weapons from south of the boarder. Because no government would ever allow that.

How are they going to track a stolen gun box? Do you think the person who stole it will report that he now has the gun You don't think things through before you start writing.

Yes, they could have tracked Adam Lanza's stolen gun after the shooting. Oh yeah, they did.

You got it! So if we had passed these laws 20 years ago when they were proposed, there would be 20 years LESS OF ILLEGAL GUNS on the streets.
No one seriously thinks that there won't be illegal guns... there will probably be a market for them forever... but... as they become more rare, they become more expensive. They become less accessible to criminals. The less of these guns, and the MORE of the guns in the USA that are registered, the more traceable these guns become and the more of the criminals will be caught.
I could probably buy an illegal fully automatic M16 today in the USA. No doubt it would be very expensive... my guess $8-10,000 up. If the number of those guns were cut in half... the price would double or more. At some point, I would be forced to buy a less lethal illegal gun, or even buy a legal gun. In the end, the less illegal unregistered guns on the streets, the better for America.

What illegal guns are you talking about? All stolen guns are considered illegal guns, it doesn't matter the make or model of it Your argument makes no sense what's so ever.

Police have consistently said that tracking guns from cradle to grave would help immensely in apprehending those who use them illegally. A gun stolen in NY, then trafficked through gun runners to Nevada, then sold to a criminal who gets caught would then bring down not only the criminal but his source for illegal guns.
