The Party Of Old White Guys...
"The Times They Are A Changin'"

It appears that demographics may bring the GOP back to some semblance of sanity... the only problem?
Those who could change the party for the better are the "under 40" Republicans.
This may take a while.

A new National Journal poll finds:
14% of women said the Republican Party had moved closer to their perspective since the 2012
presidential election.
More than twice as many women, 33%, said the party had drifted further from them.
A plurality, 46%, saw no change.

Emily's List Membership Hits 3 Million

Quoted Text
Emily's List, the Democratic advocacy group focused on electing pro-abortion rights women
to public office, announced Thursday that its membership has risen sixfold in three years to
more than 3 million.  Membership was about 500,000 at the end of the 2010 election cycle.

The rapid growth in Emily's List supporters follows its influential role in the 2012 elections,
when the group helped elect a record number of women to Congress. Emily's List is likely
to be a key player in 2014 and already is involved in high-profile races that include Democrat
Alison Lundergan Grimes' challenge to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell in Kentucky.
The group has also has thrown its weight behind Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis,
the Democratic state senator who garnered national attention for her marathon filibuster
against a highly restrictive abortion bill.

Emily's List's growing support comes as the Republican Party has increasingly alienated
women voters. Last month, a poll found that 33 percent of women felt the GOP had
moved further away from them, while just 14 percent said Republicans had come closer
to their perspective.

"I am pro-life. I care about the life of every child: every child that goes to bed hungry,
every child that goes to bed without a proper education, every child that goes to bed without
being able to be a part of the Texas dream, every woman and man who worry about their
children's future and their ability to provide for that future. I care about life and I have a
record of fighting for people above all else."

-- Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis

Rick Santorum:
Denying women birth control coverage is a First Amendment right

Quoted Text
Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum on Sunday insisted that
President Barack Obama was imposing his beliefs on corporations and preventing
them from exercising their “right” to deny women contraception coverage
in health care plans.

women don't need birth control because it's their first amendment right to use pocket knives to prevent the pregnancy from the start

which means castration is a first amendment right

Are you against this box?  I'd be shocked if you were.  You've been making the argument that not having insurance is irresponsible and would just forces everybody else to pay for your medical costs.  This legislation seems very liberal, very progressive, it forces people to buy insurance, that is the proper use of government.

Among 38 nations, U.S. is last when it comes to paid parental leave

Love those Right Wingers who spew "family values", except when it comes
to actually helping families!

I agree box.  Who cares what right or left wingers say about family values, it's none of their business.

I don't want the government to help me by taking my money through force then giving it back to me.  YOU WITH ME BOX?!!
