In all due respect here....I think insulting a private citizen, one that never held public office such as Mr. M., is rude and insensitive. He is apparently concerned with this issue and where his tax money is going. It was a fair question.

I would have expected this remark out of one of the 5 town board members.

Judging by some of your comments directed at me in the past 6 months and some of the other comments from other folks --   my comment was far from rude and insensitive,
Also, I was not questioning his right to ask questions -- just stating my opinion of him and GP as potential candidates.

I agree partially in what peeps says. The last rotterdam administration and the ones before them were less than effective. But bringing rotterdam into the year 2011, I believe that most rotterdamians will agree that the present administration will go down in history as the worst. All five of them.

However, to their defense, this rotterdam town board is probably the most transparent. Issues that were handled behind closed doors are now exposed to the residents. Also to their credit, and whether it is for support, curiosity or just to enjoy the show, they surely have filled most meetings to capacity.

This administration has wakened the rotterdam residents. It has become the water cooler topic of conversation. People from colonie, latham and guilderland are talking about rotterdam like no other administration before has done. Well....except for constantino!

And it is rumored that there are some folks that are considering moving to rotterdam!! Another plus!! They are all hoping to run for town clerk and reap the same benefits as EE. Some want to apply for the supervisor's confidential secretary's position. Some attorneys are also looking to represent the town folks. And in these hard economic times, where jobs are few, some are hoping the 'four cross trainers' will quit.....opening up job opportunities.

Yup..........these five and their supporters have certainly helped put rotterdam back on the map!

Three of the five members of the current Town Board are doing a great job  -- and are worthy of being reelected.

The Schenectady city attorney had a similar(?) situation last year being out on sick leave for months.  Returned, then recently announced his intention to leave by years end.  Good thing all of the accrued sick leave was used up before leaving as may not have been allowed to cash it out.   Hmmmmmmm.

Sure sounds like you might be referring to the previous admin there Cic. How many times do we have to tell you.  You are bitter. Get over it. You are not part of the solution you are part of the problem. Too bad you have been reduced to personal attacks. It stunts your growth.....LOSER!   LOL

Reduced to personal attacks?  Where did you read them?  I'm just stating the facts of Rotterdam politics.  In order to make personal attacks, you need to know these people personally.  I don't know anybody on the TB personally, just their politics as portrayed through local media and what I see attending TB meetings.  Peeps, you just hate this message board because the dirty-dirty-dirty secrets of Rotterdam politics is followed closely EVERYDAY.  Your skank a$$ was in politics during the era of when those dirty secrets were kept from the public and you could fleece the taxpayers without them knowing.  You were used to the days when 10 people were sitting in TH watching the meetings, and 5 of them were high school students that had to attend for Government Class.  And as I recall, there was no privilege of the floor.  C'mon Peeps, be honest,,,you don't want solutions, your idea or solutions is returning to the days when nobody questioned our elected officials and nobody attended TB meetings.  Its 2011, the internet is here to stay, come join us in the 21st century instead of B-I-T-C-H-I-N-G about it.LOL

Is EE back yet - did she resign?  Or did she just collect another $200 today of taxpayer dollars for doing NOTHING?  A lot of people out there unemployed and we have a clerk that collects social security and a pension collecting a salary of $53K for winning an election.  I hope EE is tithing 10% of her unearned income to the local Democrat Party.  It is the least she can do for those in her party that are damaging their own reputation and character defending her blatant thieving.  Because we ALL know, if EE was a Republican, the same people that are defending her would be tying her to the stake and drawing their daggers.

At least 1 of the 5 would be doing the town a big favor if he resigned today -- well, actually, if he had resigned a month or two ago.

But Matt, Nicki and wayne are doing a great job and deserve reelection.
