As I am in Washington I am requesting a simple posting of the events of the meeting
Executive session - Yes, No
brief notes on the members of the public who speek
as the SAD SAC TV is unreliable
and requesting the mins of the meeting could take over a month
thank you
Tippy

I'm confused here. Are you saying that you are FOILING for a public meeting? Locally? An executive meeting? ALL public meeting can be FOILED for.....except for Executive sessions...(sometimes)

Well, just a quick update from the meeting.  There was a show of the new voting machines and noted that they have been used in elections throughout the county.  At the moment, we are still in the middle of the public hearing for Sync Realty.

what a total fiasco tonight was...I can't believe the acrimony.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

FACT#1 - EE wasn't there

FACT #2 - It was packed. I had to stand in the back. It was packed mainly with the people who rent out the old army depot. They ALL got up to speak! So did the owners and sync reality and Galesi representatives.

FACT#3 - The attorneys were sparring back and forth. For a minute there, one would have sworn they were in a court room.

If there was no appointed deputy to do so--it would seem it would be an illegal meeting because you NEED the clerk to call the role and certify the meeting.  It is Eunice's right to appoint her own deputy and if she doesn't the board can do it.

Lisa D didn't cozy up next to MG during this meeting. She was too busy in the back of the room talking with all of the EE supporters.   Then she put on quite a show during privilege of the floor when she interrupted EE's son during his comments.

Who Started the Meeting???????

Diane M. from the Supervisor's office started the meeting, she filled in for EE.

Huge public hearing on Sync Realty Rezone, about a quarter of the speakers spoke against it for obvious discriminatory undertones.  KS position from Mohonasen was extremely criticized.  About 3/4 of the speakers spoke very eloquently about that facility being their home and how fortunate they felt they were to live there.  Everyone seemed to be hard working people, not looking for any handouts or favors.  From an observer's perspective, comments were all very genuine.  Someone indicated that the facility was used for housing, and that would be the only use for that parcel no matter who owned it or who lived there and that it only made sense to rezone it R3.  Attorneys did duke it out a tad, but solution seems more common sense than legal at this juncture.

Public Hearing on Golub;  5 or 6 homeowners on Duanesburg Rd. were issued "options" to buy their properties should Golub get the rezone & comp plan amendments.  Last Tues. at the Planning Comm. Mtg., it apparently surfaced that no contracxts had been executed.  The residents were concerned that they would lose their leverage to have Golub buy their houses once the approvals were granted.  Can't say as I blame them, historically has happened throughout Rott. over the years.  That sparked ND to attempt to table the vote until the contracts were in hand.  The rest of the Board voted down her motion, and cut her lose.  Then the vote for the rezone & comp plan amend. was taken, ND NO, GP Recused, everyone else YES.  These votes were in spite of no formal contracts, Town Board felt they could "trust" Golub.

EE's son spoke on his mother's long distinguished career and that he would vindicate his mother's name.  Claimed he had a very good attorney and was going after GP whom he blamed for the entire debacle.  He did not discuss that the State revoked her notary license for six months.  Claims were that he would bring GP and his law firm down in his "investigation".  All the EE cheerleaders were clapping and cheering.

All in all, best Town Board mtg. yet!  Bickering on the Board, ND got slapped down, attorneys arguing, people accusing attorneys of lying and misrepresenting the truth, fine display of Rotterdam a nice place to live.  I just wish they would distribute popcorn, man what a show.  It just gets better and better, to bad you missed this one . . . .

DM from the Supervisor's office???  Do you mean DM from the Senior Center?  Ok so now we know why EE wasn't there.  I would be nervous if I was GP.  This is definitely going to reflect badly on him.  Even if it goes his way--still bad if you are running for election.
