I heard from a friend of a friend that apparently the Rotterdam GOP is circulating a petition to call for a meeting of the committee to discuss Amedore's seat. Rumor has it the town GOP doesn't support Amedore. Anyone know if this is true or not?

Rotterdam & County GOP are so messed up, they don't know if they support themselves right now.

Absolutely true.  I signed one myself.  George did not support our slate of candidates last fall.  I'm not supporting him this fall.

To who? Mertz?

You chose a side, Benny - I think everyone sees that.  Why is it that YOUR side is better than anyone else's?

huskypants-  what are there like five active people on the committee? last i heard GP took 20+ proxies with him

if there is any truth to this - i'll make the prediciton now-

GP switches to Con. party and joins his buddy Angelos campaign to run for assembly!!!

and can you really blame george for not wanting to be involved in an ugly rotterdam election cycle-

Is the Republican strategy to reduce their influence in Schenectady County to ZERO.  If it is, they are VERY successful.

This stinks rotten.  Why do you think Santabarbara switched parties?  Santabarbara will run for Assembly as a Democrat and walk into the position, and Parisi and the Republicans will spit their own party so this can happen.  This is a big FU to the State Republicans.

They "demand" a GOP meeting? First they lose every town race, then they want to go after popular Assemblyman George Amedore.
