With the election looming, I thought I'd try to resort to just being a resident with a comment instead of a candidate with a position.

Running for office with Brad has truly been a great experience.  I always considered myself a passionate person with the courage of my convictions but Brad is at a completely different level.  There is no doubt in my mind he is the best candidate among the 4 of us in the NNTP.

I respect all the candidates running, but I've had the great advantage and fortune to listen to Brad's views extensively.  He is, in my opinion, unquestionably the best candidate running for county legislature.  This is a guy who can make a real difference for us.  You get 2 picks tomorrow - I hope you'll make him one of them.

Well said Michael and so true. Only one thing.....just vote for Brad ONLY! Voting for the other seat could cancel out Brads. You are just too nice Michael!

Brad, as I said about Michael, you, too, should be proud of yourself and the campaign that you ran. I look forward to seeing you run in future elections. You and Michael are exactly what this town desperately needs!

If the town, as you say, desperately needs someone like littlefield, he clearly would have won. Same goes for Michael. Sure, they were both the top contenders. That was a no brainer. Obviously the voters didn't think that way. And now that the dems are in, they will be in for a very very long time.

So now, we just pick up where we left off and go to work for this town in supporting the office of our new elected officials. Now it's their turn.

Which town? Maybe you're on to something.

For Brad to start a new party, run an honest campaign, reject the idiotic cartoons/snail mail and still get over 1,600 votes on ROW F-is amazing. As predicted he got more votes than all the other minor lines added together.

If the REPS had made Judy run on her record-instead of issuing another free pass-things would have been different. Where's the low hanging fruit? lol. He was caught in a DEM tidal wave but still kept his head above water. A great loss for taxpayers across this County.

Thanks Brutus for your kind remarks.

I expect my life to take a very different path from this point.  While I will never say never, I don't envision myself campaigning
for elected office again in the future.

I tried to do what I believed was right and in the best interests of residents.  I vowed to represent all those in District 4 regardless of
town of residence, political affiliation, socio-economic status, etc.  I reached out to those from across the political spectrum and looked forward
to the opportunity to work with them to improve the quality of life of Schenectady County residents.

I ran what I believed to be an issue based campaign and refrained from making personal attacks on my opponents and their families.
I found those against who I ran to be personally likeable.  Though I disagreed with their positions on some issues, I respected and
appreciated them for offering to serve.

I'm not sure if my defeat resulted from the voters' disapproval of the message or the messenger.  Whichever it is, I accept their
decision.

Like Mary, I learned a great deal through this experience.  I (also) found how people can turn against you including those
who purport to be friends and (for me) those who are presently in elected office and who I supported over the years by my efforts and
with my campaign contributions.

Trust can take years to build, but only a second to break. -Unknown

This will be my swan song.  I have enjoyed participating in this forum, even through the viciousness displayed by some during the campaign season.  For those friends who I have made on this forum, you know where and how to find me.  I look forward to hearing from you.

May you all be blessed with health and happiness.
