Sorry but i disagree with all you said.
There has been a war on drugs since the 70's.....and the war has obviously been lost!!
'here is your brain...here is your brain on drugs'!!
There is nothing new to be said nor is there anymore education regarding drugs.
Millions and millions of dollars have been thrown at the problem through schools, churches, tv, governments, non profits, mental health, books...blah blah blah!
It's pretty simple here.....folks know they will be incarcerated if they get caught using or selling drugs...and yet they still use and sell.
Sadly...it's called supply and demand.
the dealers are NOT forcing anyone to take drugs...no gun to someone's head.
the dealers are being 'seeked out'!
I've seen this up close and personal.
But while you're at it...how 'bout doing something about the legal opioids that big pharma is doling out?
there are more folks addicted with legal drugs than illegal.
Only difference...the illegal ones are not being 'taxed'.
As far as quality of life in this town?
That is a joke right?
Apartments everywhere which is bringing in transients.
they have no stake in this town at all!!!
Again..........rotten-dam does what is called...'shoot from the hip planning'....pathetic!
..........just sayin'

For the quality of life in this Town, the administration and residents need to be educated in the matter of the OPIOID EPIDEMIC.
Other Towns are having meetings for the public for the awareness and education of this deadly problem
Young and older men and women are dying because of it ....and it seems that there is not enough being
done by professionals to control, curb and/or stop it.
People turn their heads to those "addicted" to drugs, this a mindset that these people don't count...
Judgement is shameful. Addicts come from all walks of life...it happens in many cities, towns, and
villages.....it happens here in Rotterdam.
The Administration can help with not just talk ... holding informational meetings that include
professionals, town citizens and addicts who have beat the "disease"...and struggle everyday to remain
clean and sober.
Now this town can unite ....
Kudos to the RPD and EMT's who see this many times and must feel the same
way....
