Authorize the Supervisor to execute an agreement with City of Schenectady, City Hall, 105 Jay Street, Schenectady, New York 12305, to provide animal control services (ACO) through December 31, 2016
no mention of $$$$$ .......[/size]
also still accountable for the contract with Montgomery County SPCA for taking in lost and found animals more $$$$
Another brilliant "idea" coming from the Supervisor Tommasone
this shouldn't be a major surprise. this present STUPERvisor is in bed with the progressives. then ENTIRE county will consolidate eventually....schools...services.....law enforcement....ambulance...etc....

At 10:45, a Rotterdam police officer —] referred by animal control — got to the home and captured the bird in the office
a blunder on the reporting OF this story abut the hawk landing in someone's Rotterdam home.......THERE IS NO ANIMAL CONTROL........now who would have told a spin which is incorrect??????.
Don't the police have more important events during the day...than to be ACO too?,,,,,
It was announced that a contract for Animal Control was given to the city of Schenectady ...actually, there is no contract as there is some
haggling going on.
it now costs the taxpayers $150.00 per call and $40.00 to put the dog on hold in the city's so called shelter....if the city is called to find a dog running loose and
they don't find or capture it.....Rotterdam has to pay $150.00 anyway.....in one day the bill for Rotterdam taxpayers was $900.00.
The taxpayers in Rotterdam have been bamboozled into thinking there is a contract and there is no need for an ACO...according to the council they
have no problem with this arrangement as the Resolution was passed with NO mention of cost to the taxpayers ...the cost was NOT even included in the
Resolution, nor even questioned before the resolution was passed by the majority....One member always questions other resolutions especially when it
comes to the money factor....in this case...WALLA....no problem.
It will be costing more for the of handling animals in the Town...than allowing the very qualified ACO to receive a minimal amount of pay for the position.
Other animals are being assigned to the police.....with the way crime and other happenings in Rotterdam are occurring ...there will be a day when there is
a "real" emergency ...and the police will not be able to respond in "real" time.
Rotterdam government has no transparency and it is back door politics with a lot of favoritism..
With that said....Mr. Tommasone and his council represent the people of Rotterdam and have no concept of what is priority for the safety of its residents/taxpayers
and the rights of the animals.
The "holding" building for the animals in Schenectady is not meant to be a shelter....and no place for any animal.
And Montgomery County Shelter is still under contract with Rotterdam.
And there you have it.....POP GOES THE WEASEL...
BTW...NITE OUT FOR ROTTERDAM...to bring the community together.....and the community has no clue what is going on with the politics in this Town....what a joke.
the entire county is going to be consolidated into one. this is just the beginning. the rpd will be the last to be consolidated....and they will go kicking and screaming....but they too will go. and rotterdam ambulance's new name will be MOHAWK AMBULANCE.
THE ENTIRE COUNTY WILL BE 'ONE'.
