And all those wait staff jobs at the McCarthy's taxpayer funded gin mills, and those low paying "quirky" jobs, and the ticket takers at Galesi's tax exempt theater, yeah all those metroplex created low paying jobs are going to allow people to buy the zombie properties. Hell, despite the falling falling prices of some of the very nice homes in the city people still do not want them and/or cannot afford them. Just like that very nice house on Glenwood that took nearly two years to sell and then sold for almost half of what it used to be worth. But "the mayor and his team are doing a wonderful job in the city, the city is improving;" and those that claim it's getting better cannot cite proof of increasing home values, reduced taxes, etc Proof that the city is failing is that Galesi Chief Mr Buicko will not only NOT live in the City, he doesn't want ANYTHING to do with living ANYWHERE in Schenectady county! He gets rich courtesy McCarthy making the homeowners pay the taxes on all that Galesi property which of course means more money for Buicko salary, but in return for making him richer, despite being able to afford the most expensive houses, he could afford to live in a palace in the GE Plot, but he won't remotely consider living IN the city or the county |
