Rotterdam police are being tight lipped about an incident on Hamburg Street, early Monday morning.

Right now, all they’re saying is that a female resident was sexually assaulted, and a 10-year-old child was physically assaulted.

The police department says it began as a call for a reported burglary and assault. They continue to investigate.

NewsChannel 13's Abigail Bleck is working to get more information. We will have more on this story in our evening newscasts starting at 5 p.m., and at WNYT.com.

CHEER CHEER!   RAH RAH!

Past 10 years we've been hearing "Working Together Works"

Pumpkin throwing is one thing.  Stealing bikes is one thing.  Stealing cars is one thing.  It's all been on the rise dramatically in the town lately.

But this is the lowest form of crime.   Gives new meaning to "Rotterdam - A Nice Place to Live."

Very sad, so very sad.

Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Not exactly, but what party brags "working together works."   What political parties run the town, the city and the county?   What political party is putting all their focus into downtown Schenectady and the casino, and catering to GE and Galesi and ignoring the people?

i'd have to believe that the victims got a look at the perpetrator.....yes?

unless the perpetrator had a mask on.

all residents should be 'well informed'.
