Your argument was ridiculous.  You compared the biology of human development to humans
building structures or baking cakes out of non-living objects.  A fertilized human egg reproduces
and divides until fully developed, and continues to divide and reproduce until dead.  Lumber and
un-fertilized chicken eggs in the supermarket cooler is not capable of that.  They are non living,
they are actually dead and decaying.  A fertilized egg is not dead and decaying.

Yes Ridiculous... you do understand, you're just trolling as usual.

Previous posts compare a fetus to a baby.  In fact they seem to regard a Human Fetus
and a Human Baby, as if they were the same thing, and of course they are not.

Like an egg, it may some day be a chicken

A pile of lumber may some day be a house

Cake ingredients
may someday be a cake.

and...
a fetus may some day be a baby.

But...
an egg is NOT a chicken
A pile of lumber is not a house
Cake ingredients is not a cake
and
a fetus is NOT A BABY.

These facts are known by all, but denied by some for political purposes.

Fetal brain cells injected into a man’s brain to cure his Parkinson’s

Recovery might be only a transplant away

A man in his mid-50s with Parkinson’s disease had fetal brain cells injected into his brain last week. He is the first person in nearly 20 years to be treated this way – and could recover full control of his movements in roughly five years.

“It seemed to go fine,” says Roger Barker of the University of Cambridge, who is leading the international team that is reviving the procedure.

The treatment was pioneered 28 years ago in Sweden, but two trials in the US reported no significant benefit within the first two years following the injections, and the procedure was abandoned in favour of deep brain stimulation treatments.

What these trials overlooked is that it takes several years for fetal cells to “bed in” and connect properly to the recipient’s brain. Many Swedish and North American recipients improved dramatically, around three years or more after the implants – long after the trials had finished. “In the best cases, patients who had the treatment pretty much went back to normal,” says Barker.

After the fetal cells were wired up properly in their brains, they started producing the brain signalling chemical dopamine – low levels of this cause the classic Parkinson’s symptom of uncontrolled movements. In fact, the cells produced so much dopamine that many patients could stop taking their Parkinson’s drugs. “The prospect of not having to take medications for Parkinson’s is fantastic,” says James Beck of the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation in the US.

Because the early trials missed this improvement no one had received fetal brain cells since the 1990s. But the man treated at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge on 18 May did not receive a full treatment, because the team only had enough cells to treat one half of his brain.

The transplant depends on fetal cell donations from women terminating pregnancies, so the researchers don’t know when cells are likely to be available. It takes cells from at least three fetuses to treat each half of the brain, and four earlier attempts to treat the same man had to be stopped due to a lack of cells.
Lack of cells

But Barker hopes to treat the other half of the man’s brain soon. “We would expect that if we do both sides, he will see an improvement in around six months to a year,” says Barker. But the maximum benefits are predicted to happen in three to five years’ time, and should then be sustained for more than a decade, he says.

The team plans to test the treatment in a further 19 people, in a trial split between Cambridge and Sweden.

Barker sees the revival of the technique as a stepping stone to injecting dopamine-producing cells made by stem cells (see “Stem cells – the next step” below). Trials of such treatments are expected as early as 2017, and Barker hopes lessons learned from the fetal cell transplants will guide how to apply and assess them once they are ready.

“We are now on the road towards a 2.0 version of the cell therapy paradigm,” says Lorenz Studer of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He thinks future treatment will eventually involve the use of dopamine neurons that come from stem cells rather than fetal cells, which will permanently resolve the supply problem.

Members of the Parkinson’s Disease Global Force met in New York last week to discuss the progress of this stem cell work. When Barker announced that his team’s first patient had just left the operating theatre, the meeting’s attendees burst into spontaneous applause.

“There’s a real sense within the community that this is a collaborative effort to make cell treatments work, and that there’s real potential to change the lives of hundreds of people worldwide,” said Barker.

Scientists create Frankenstein mouse by injecting it with human fetal cells
Posted on December 7, 2014 by Dr. Eowyn

Eight years ago, doctors in a hospital in Portugal grafted nasal tissue samples from embryonic stem cells onto the spines of 20 quadriplegics to repair their damaged spinal cord. While the experiment seemed to have worked for a few of the patients, who regained a little bit of sensation, it didn’t go well for one woman. Not only did her paralysis continue, she began feeling pain at the site of the implant. When doctors took a closer look, they discovered she was growing the beginnings of a nose on her spine, New Scientist reports.

What happened to the woman is not the first case of adverse side effects from embryonic stem cell transplants. There have been cases of people developing tumors after participating in clinical trials, including a 50-year-old man who, after receiving an experimental treatment for Parkinson’s disease, developed a brain tumor containing hairs and cartilage.

Those grotesque results have not stopped the Dr. Frankenstein scientists.

Scientists at the University of Rochester Medical in Rochester, New York, have “created” a supermouse four times smarter than normal mice by injecting brain cells from human fetal tissue into baby mice.

Sarah Knapton reports for The Telegraph, Dec. 4, 2014, that researchers at the University of Rochester Medical injected cells from a human fetus into baby mice to create animals which have brains that are half human.

Lead researcher Professor Steve Goldman told New Scientist magazine it was like “ramping up the power” of the mouse brain, because human cells are so much more advanced. The mice with the human brain cells had memories that were four times better than their siblings who did not have the injections. “We can say they were significantly smarter than control mice. These were whopping effects.”

The goal of the researchers was not to create a new species of “supermouse” but rather to make the brains of mice more humanlike so that scientists can advance their understanding of brain disease. So the team created the hybrid mice by injecting “glial” cells from donated human fetuses – left over from IVF – into baby mice.

Glial cells provide support and protection for neurons and develop intoastrocytes — star-shaped cells with long tendrils that are vital for thought processes because they help co-ordinate the transmission of electrical impulses between neurons.

Human astrocytes are 20 times the size of those in mice and have 100 times the number of tendrils.

Scientists found that within a year of the injections the human cells had taken over with the mouse cells “fleeing to the margins.” Goldman said, “It’s like ramping up the power of your computer.”

Other scientists said it was astonishing that such a huge effect could be seen with just a simple injection of human cells. Prof Wolfgang Enard, of Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich said, “That the cells work at all in a different species is amazing and poses the question of which properties are being driven by the cell itself and which is by the new environment. If you make animals more human-like where do you stop?”

Goldman insisted that the cells did not make the mice “more human,” but he admitted that the team had stopped short at injecting the cells into monkeys: “We briefly considered it but decided not to because of all the potential ethical issues.”

Of course they're not.  And an elderly HUMAN BEING isn't middle aged,
and a middle aged HUMAN BEING isn't a young adult HUMAN BEING, and
a young adult HUMAN BEING isn't an adolescent HUMAN BEING,
and an adolescent HUMAN BEING isn't a toddler HUMAN BEING ,
and a toddler HUMAN BEING  isn't a baby HUMAN BEING
(Above compares various ages of the same item.. a Human Being.)

Of course a baby HUMAN BEING isn't a HUMAN FETUS,
and a HUMAN FETUS isn't a HUMAN EMBRYO....
It makes perfect sense now.

As shown above... (my corrections in RED)

You are comparing apples to oranges...
Human beings to human embryos.  Human embryos may some day become a human being...
but they are NOT YET HUMAN BEINGS.
Your post above compares HUMAN BEINGS to HUMAN FETUS & EMBRYOS... very different things.

The rest of your comparisons are comparing HUMAN BEINGS at various stages of aging.

Human babies.
Of course Human Babies and Human Embryos are not the same thing.

Unlike HUMAN BEINGS...
HUMAN ZYGOTES only become HUMAN BEINGS less than half of the time.

MOST HUMAN ZYGOTES die before becoming human beings.
Their transformation from a clump of cells to a HUMAN BABY usually ends in their death.

Most fail to develop to become anything more than a clump of cells in various stages of development...
but never become a HUMAN BABY.

Less than 50%, the vast majority... never become a baby.
A very small percentage end in abortion.

Of course we all know this issue isn't about HUMAN BABIES at all.
It's about HUMAN POLITICS, and one parties efforts to CONTROL Women.

No, apples and oranges are two different varieties of fruit.  A fetus has the exact same DNA as a when it is delivered.

Your post above compares HUMAN BEINGS to HUMAN FETUS & EMBRYOS... very different things.
Is a fetus delivered after 28 weeks gestation a fetus outside the body or a baby?

This is a 24 week fetus outside the womb.  According to box, it is not a human being.  It is just a human fetus delivered early, it is completely different than a human being, it has not completed its metamorphosis into a human being.  It does not get its human being status until some time in the future.

any society will not be able to continue to kill the most vulnerable of creation for scientific or monetary purposes without consequences.
this nation is already experiencing the blow back....slowly....but most assuredly.

this country is becoming more and more evil...BY CHOICE.

Enjoy the ride cause it won't last much longer.

It's only a 24 week fetus.  I think the "fetal tissue" can still be harvested and "donated" for a fee.

You know that a newborn baby's eyesight is not fully developed at birth, and their sight MAY never fully develop.  So I dont see why they can't harvest the "eye tissue" since it MAY not be develop into seeing.  And since box's argument for abortion is that it MAY not fully develop, why not use that logic for newborn "eye tissue"?

point being...ovum/sperm meet,,,,,do a little dance and split and split and split and split and have gene codes to divide into
the proper body systems that make up a human fetus/baby/toddler/adolescent/adult to DEAD.....

you agree that process should be interrupted like a cancer tumor....(remember, I don't care what people chose to do)

people are connected to their posterity/future and such.....hence procreating.....you assume it's all cavalier, as do those
rabid on the conservative side....

I agree a chicken is not a chicken
I agree sperm is not a baby

but take 2 humans who join their sperm and ovum and whamo! the beginnings of a human being built. interrupt the process
if you wish, but you cannot argue that it is not the beginnings of a human being built, much like you cannot argue
that a chicken ovum fertilized by a rooster sperm is the beginnings of a chicken being built.....

either way you opt out of your responsibility like a rooster....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

HUH!  Cicero is attempting to fool the uninformed as to when abortions are preformed.
Nice try cissy, but the FACTS are against you.

Most places, for most reasons... a 24 week abortion is illegal, unless there are extreme circumstances.
(Cissy knows this but he is hoping that you don't!)

When do abortions happen???
at 24 weeks???
Cissy thinks so, but we know better.
1.5% of abortions happen at 21 weeks or later... and usually for extreme reasons, like
imminent danger to the mom or a car wreck or chemical poisoning.
See... cicero would have you believe other wise but (as usual) Cicero is allergic to FACTS.

Most abortions happen before 9 weeks...
About 95% of abortions occur before 15 weeks...
But Cicero is posting pics of a premature infant for the purpose of deceiving
the uninformed.

Shame on you Cicero... You show your true colors.   You should go into business
posting bogus PP videos!
Shame on you!
