So... if they sell the tissue at cost or at a loss... are they making money on the sale? Of course not. In the original video, that fact is explained at least 10 times.
Planned Parenthood has already been paid to perform the abortion by the patient. There is no cost of tissue. The only cost is the storage and delivery. The delivery is likely contracted and paid for by the purchaser of the fetal organs. What is the cost of storage? Why is there back and forth negotiating if it is a fixed expense?

Those making the phony video were offering more to PP, hoping to draw someone from PP into actually selling this tissue and make a profit. PP declined, saying that they only wanted to clear expenses with the procedure.
The video is a scam... I'm just surprised so many Right Wingers are eager to jump on this scam as if it were true.

Do hospital and trauma center executives negotiate prices with Red Cross executives over lunch, when looking to purchase donated blood?

The Right Wing Conservative Video producers were posing as a bio med company interested in research on this tissue. They (supposedly) were looking for information about acquiring this tissue from PP. The video scammers even told PP that they could charge more for the tissue... PP refused, saying they only wanted to recoup expenses.
We all know why this video scam is surfacing now. The 2016 elections are approaching the usual (ACORN type) bogus video to rally the gullible. And by the look of the posts here... the gullible are taking the bait.

By the way. Planned Parenthood can make a profit. They just can't distribute the profit, the profit goes into their "reserves".
The issue at hand is the title of this thread... PP did not make any profit, or gain, from the sale of this tissue.

The pro-abortion people claim the fetus is not a human with rights.
And the law supports them by allowing them to destroy the live fetuses.
I don't have a problem using fetus parts to save lives.
Fetus T-cells or organs could extend many people's lives.
I don't even have a problem with parents offering their fetus or fetus parts for sale, or even their newborn child for paid adoption.
If a pregnant woman could be compensated for her newborn through paid adoption, abortion numbers would plummet.
No one has the right to force the creators of a fetus to do anything against their will.
Everyone seems to think they have a right to force their beliefs on others.
They do not.
People's rights exist without laws or regulations.
No law would be able to stop people from terminating a pregnancy.
It would simply be done in ways other than abortion clinics.
Just as no law actually stops newborns from being sold for adoption.
It's done all the time, it just can't be disclosed because of the law.
If you could get $10,000 for a newborn for adoption, it would quickly become a major source of adoptable children and reduce abortion numbers.
Without violating people's rights to self reproduction/termination.
Is giving a child away a violation of the child's rights?
If abortion isn't a violation and giving a child away isn't a violation of the child's rights, I don't see where paid adoptions or selling the fetuses or fetus parts, would be any different at all.
Except that you would be allowing the parents a choice.
How is it that the pro-life movement is outraged by the violation of a fetus's rights, but they say nothing about a newborn's rights to not be sold or given away?
People need to unsubscribe to the outrage of the month club and let family matters be decided by family members.
The government is not a tool for the outrage of the month people, to force others to live according to their extremist beliefs.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California Attorney General Kamala Harris said Friday that she plans to review two undercover videos released by anti-abortion activists aimed at discrediting Planned Parenthood's procedures for providing fetal tissue to researchers, to see if any laws were broken.
Harris announced the move in a letter to four Democratic members of Congress who had requested an investigation, saying she'll use her office's authority to regulate charity organizations to see if the organization that made the videos violated registration or reporting requirements, or broke any other rules. Harris, a Democrat, plans to run for the U.S. Senate in 2016.
"We will carefully review the allegations raised in your letter to determine whether there were any violations of California law," Harris said in the letter to four members of the U.S. House of Representatives.
She said her office will look into "allegations that individuals impersonated corporate officials from a fake biologics company, resulting in the release of secretly filmed videos of Planned Parenthood physicians without their consent."
The videos show Dr. Mary Gatter, a Planned Parenthood medical director in Southern California, meeting with people posing as potential buyers of intact fetal specimens. The conversation focuses largely on how much money the buyers should pay.
David Daleiden of the Center for Medical Progress, the group that released the videos, said it follows all applicable laws when making the videos that he called investigative journalism.
He said in a statement that Planned Parenthood is "trying to use the power of their political cronies to shut down free speech" and to "silence the freedom of the press."
The videos have brought investigations of Planned Parenthood's policies on aborted fetuses by three Republican-led congressional committees and three states.
Federal law prohibits the commercial sale of fetal tissue, but it allows the not-for-profit donation of tissue if the women who underwent abortions give their consent. Planned Parenthood says the payments discussed in the videos pertain to reimbursement for the costs of procuring the tissue — which is legal.
Gatter says in the second video, which was released on Tuesday a week after the first, that "We're not in it for the money," while also discussing whether a payment of $100 per fetal specimen would be adequate.
Planned Parenthood spokesman Eric Ferrero said in a statement after the release of the second video that the organization behind the videos "is a group of extremists who have intimidated women and doctors for years in their agenda to ban abortion completely."
JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!! JUST BECAUSE MC1 SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!!!
So they took a loss? Or did they break EXACTLY even?
As they stated in the original video... they wanted to break even by recouping their costs. It was the Conservative Hackers who mentioned a "profit" and how PP could make more money on the sale of tissue... PP Refused!
So... back to the title of this thread... IT'S AS BOGUS AS THE VIDEO.

When caught doing something wrong spin, spin, spin, deflect, degrade the source and deny any wrong doing until your story is proven to be a lie, it's the Alinsky way.

Yes... but they weren't caught doing something wrong. DO you believe that the video is unedited??? DO you believe that those taking the video have a political agenda? Would you take this video as valid if it were showing the opposite scenario? Does the group taking the video have a past history of making fake video?
Again... the title of this thread is not shown by the evidence posted.
To the actual reason for making this video... The 2016 election season has started and the GOP has nothing to offer the public. Nothing to offer Conservatives. Hence, the video.

Planned Parenthood knows their costs. They've done millions of abortions. I read a story where blood banks charge hospitals $229 per pint, and that covers the cost of getting the blood, testing the blood, and storing the blood. It's a flat fee. Not a negotiated price.
Planned Parenthhod executives in these videos were negotiating prices per organ. A "menu" of organs as the one executive called it. The fact that they were even negotiating prices to cover the fixed expenses is what is damning.
