I was reminded, by some old-timers, how back in the day, in Albany, if a local party member got out of line with the leadership, they might find the area they represent hit with a ticket blitz for parking, or perhaps code enforcement might suddenly get very particular. That's how the machine worked. Good thing we don't have anything like that nowadays.
