Albany street, near the Calvary Tabernacle church. I knew they had to be out there somewhere. This is the slowest rate of pothole patching I have ever witnessed. Whoever it was who said they won't be done by winter, you were right.
And Altamont Ave STILL has not been fixed (the underpass area) despite McCarthy claiming, back in March, that it would be taken care of "by the end of the week" (or some similar wording, I'd have to look back).
Three months and still not done. Hope all these LIES are brought out during the campaigning

Wow, just shy of THREE MONTHS AFTER McTHIEF said it would be fixed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seconded. It was hell driving home through it, but thank goodness it is finally being done. Traffic was awful around 5:15 ish, but should be good when done. Can't wait to see the final result.
Crews have been out filling potholes and repaving ALL AROUND THE CITY. Hats off to Mayor McCarthy and the Public Works Department for the great job that they are doing.

I drive all over the capital district as it's part of my job, while there are potholes in all local municipalities, Schenectady is significantly worse than anywhere else I have gone, the city's leadership should be embarrased not applauded.

I drive around the Capital District, too. Schenectady isn't as bad as the whiners and complainers would have you believe. There are potholes -- but they are being fixed. There are roads that need repair -- and the city is repaving quite a few this year ... Crane Street, Broadway, the road from Edison Ave as it comes by the GE main gate, some side streets up off of Eastern Parkway .. just to name a few.
Colonie has some horrible road .. potholes have been there for years. Guilderland doesn't give a damn about the horrible condition of County Line Road (most of which is in there town) although they do have a police car parked along the road almost every day.
So I stand by my previous statement -- Kudos to Mayor McCarthy and the wonderful employees in the City's Public Works Department. Keep up the great work.

FULL OF LIES.
Until you provide EVIDENCE, e.g., photos, show photos dated and timed, video, interview the cop in this alleged police car that sits there all the time.
You just can't handle the FACT that you are WRONG

It's true, Schenectady's roads are the worst by far. Worse than anything I've ever seen. They defy description. I wonder whether we'd be seeing this much action if the mayor hadn't gotten so much pushback about the roads, after he harrassed Goose Hill homeowners over minutiae?
yeah right. You leave your mommies' house (because you are not adult enough to be independent) and you of course violate the speed limit, hurrying down your street, to Broadway, get far away from the welfare building, hop onto 890, get off and get over the Western Gateway bridge and take a roundabout way through Glenville into NISKAYUNA where you, um, "work" in your piddling little job. Changing any diapers yet this week, besides your own (thank again, cuz)
Or maybe you scoot over Curry Rd, get on 890 to the Crosstown to Balltown to Providence IN NISKAYUNA (as per official government records via the tax maps which does NOT lie about the municipality
