SCHENECTADY -- Bronze statues of Thomas Edison and Charles Steinmetz will be unveiled at 11 a.m. Friday on Erie Boulevard at the corner of South Ferry Street.

The $75,000 fundraising project to create the statues was led by Brian Merriam of Merriam Insurance Agency and supported by the Schenectady County Chamber Foundation, according to the Chamber of Schenectady County. The sculptures were created by Dexter Benedict of Penn Yan.

Already knew that, most of us can read.   Nice thing to do as long as it was by forcing anyone to pay for it.   Only by voluntary and private funding.

Do, can you provide a list of the donors?   Is your name on the list of donors?

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

I hope the statues look better than this one:

Jamestown is where a certain person worked his magic and nothing happened. Not that it has anything to do with the statue. Maybe it shows the place has bad luck, or something.

Why does steinmentz need a statue?  He's been forever memorialize by having low income public housing name after him.  Because when you here the words "Steinmentz Homes", an image of achievement and greatness pops into your head.  Actually, Steinmentz Homes is a reflection of the greatness of socialism that Charles believed in.
