The Schenectady Police Department has arrested seven women during a prostitution sting conducted by members of the Special Investigative Unit. They range in age from 26 to 48 and are each charged with Prostitution (Class B Misdemeanor).
The women are, Alicia Levielle, 30, of Schenectady; Natasha McElroy, 34, of Schenectady; Wendy Brown, 32, of Schenectady; Antoinette Bestvina, 48, of Alexander, NY (Genessee County); Susan Warner, 43, of Schenectady; Joselyn Woodard, 28, of Greenwich, and Charlotte Ashby, 26, of Schenectady.
Additionally, Ashby was charged with Resisting Arrest (Class A misdemeanor) when she fled from officers on foot until finally taken into custody. They were all held in the Schenectady City lock-up and arraignment Wednesday morning.
The ONLY crime here.....prostitutes collecting UNTAXED money!!!! Prostitutes do it for the MONEY obviously. Be it for survival or drugs...who cares....that's their business. And GOV ALMIGHTY can't get their sticky hands on it!! not saying it's right or wrong....just saying.

Will these women be paying some sort of fine? Not enough revenue being squeezed from the homeowners, now we're going after the working girls? Hey, at least they aren't on fixed incomes, like those seniors over Van Vranken way.
