Bernie on "Democratic Socialism:

Quoted Text
Well, so long as we know what democratic socialism is. And if we know that
in countries, in Scandinavia, like Denmark, Norway, Sweden, they are very democratic
countries, obviously. The voter turnout is a lot higher than it is in the United States.
In those countries, health care is the right of all people. And in those countries,
college education, graduate school is free. In those countries, retirement benefits,
childcare are stronger than in the United States of America. And in those countries,
by and large, government works for ordinary people and the middle class, rather
than, as is the case right now in our country, for the billionaire class.

My God it sounds like paradise for you!

I'd move there right away!

Oh wait....You can't. Your getting near that age where you'll be 'urged' into "Death with Dignity".

Yup!  I have one foot in the grave... well when I'm not skiing, I'm practically dead. Except when
I'm kayaking, or jet skiing, or snorkeling, I'm over the hill.  Not counting when I'm out on the lake or
a trail on my sled, or when I'm rollerblading... I'm just about done for.  But I still manage to survive,
fishing, or riding my 4 wheeler, or... Oh $hit.  Never mind.!

I believe govt's role is to serve it's citizens.  Sometimes that means supporting business, but only
when supporting business has an overall benefit for it's citizens.

IMO, education, child care, health care, etc are a right, and a duty of a govt to provide for it's
citizens to the best of their ability.

Can you picture a presidential debate between Bernie and Rand?
Rand Paul seems to so out of touch with the poor, yet he is a Senator of a very poor state.

Quoted Text
Poverty rates increased in Kentucky in 2012 and the state had one of the top five poverty rates in the United States
at 19.4 percent, according to estimates released Thursday by the U.S. Census Bureau. Sep 19, 2013

I'd love to see the debate...I'd love to see Bernie say that YOU have to pay for the medical care for the chronic health conditions caused by smoking, drug use, or a person with type two diabetes due to their lifestyle choices throughout their lives.  Or I have to pay for your medical care because you are a paraplegic due to a skiing accident.  I'd love to hear him say everybody is responsible to pay for medical care for other people caused by personal lifestyle choices and health care decisions.  I'd like to see Bernie square the "fairness" behind his philosophy.   I think it would be great!

How is "overall benefit" measured?  Who measures it?  How does government serve its citizens?  Doesn't government have to take from one citizen to give to another?

A serious skiing accident that left me a paraplegic would be covered by my health care insurance.
Under your plan of action, where everyone is responsible for their own coverage, and if I were
a "ME person like you are... I would have no or minimal health care coverage and the rest of my
huge health care bill would fall on the taxpayers.
Aren't you glad that we don't have YOUR system where every selfish person would be under insured
and the rest of us would pay for his greed???

Bernie Sanders - RAPE FANTASIES

Quoted Text
Bernie Sanders Wrote An Essay In 1972 About Rape Fantasies

“A man goes home and masturbates his typical fantasy,” Sanders wrote to open the essay. “A woman on her knees. A woman tied up. A woman abused. A woman enjoys intercourse with her man — as she fantasizes about being raped by 3 men simultaneously. The man and woman get dressed up on Sunday — and go to Church, or maybe to their ‘revolutionary’ political meeting.”

For a person so concerned about climate change and the environment, you seem to have no problem throwing unnecessary hydrocarbons into the air.
Another "do as I say, not as I do" liberal, perhaps?
