SCHENECTADY - Police are investigating after a man was shot on Sunday evening.

Schenectady Police say they responded to the area of Paulding Street after hearing reports of a man who was shot in a vehicle at around 7:20 pm Sunday.

Police then say at around 7:30 Ellis hospital called police, saying a man arrived on campus with a reported gunshot wound to the leg.

That man was treated at the scene and transported to Albany Medical Center with recoverable injuries, according to investigators.

SCHENECTADY – There have been a number of shootings in Schenectady and there is currently a trial going on at the city courthouse involving one of the cases. Monday night, police and the Capital Region Southern Christian Leadership Council are hosting a community meeting.

There have been four shooting incidents in the past week in the city of Schenectady. Two of those incidents have sent people to the hospital. Schenectady Police Chief Brian Kilcullen will be at a community meeting Monday night to talk about current developments, along with taking questions from a panel.

Two separate shooting incidents happened Sunday night alone. Around 6:30 p.m., shots were fired near the Steinmetz Homes off Watt Street as dozens of children were playing outside. Police say they haven’t found anyone who was hit, and no one has been arrested. About an hour later, a man was shot in the leg on Paulding Street.

Those two shootings follow arrests for two shooting incidents last week. 17 year old Jachi Turner was arrested and charged with attempted murder after shots were fired on Grant Street Wednesday. Police have not said if Turner was aiming at a specific person in that case. And 27 year old David Fyall has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with a Tuesday shooting where a man was shot in the chest in front of an elementary school on Webster Street. Police say the shooter is not in custody.

Fyall is expected to be back in court at 1:30 p.m. Monday for a hearing.

The community meeting will take place from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Ten Eyck Apartments Community Room at 375 Broadway in Schenectady.

Monday night, tonight.

How much did the mayor paid Kilcullen to keep people away from the city council meeting tonight?   The mayor and his team don't want to hear the complaints from people at the city council meeting.

And where does Kilcullen live?
