Two separate issues....try slowing down and understanding what you are reading!!! AGAIN......NO WHERE DOES SHE STATE, IMPLY OR CORRELATE YOUR FALSE STATEMENT:
It's a correlative conjunction. Not two separate issues. She mentions the U.S. Afghan policy and interest in Afghan women is in the same sentence. What do you think Laura is talking about when she says "and who will continue U.S. policies" in that sentence? Do you think she's talking about the continuation of U.S. domestic tax polices?
Here is an example: Which continuation of U.S. policies would Laura be referring to? Nuclear policies? Trade policies? Or polices as it relates to African Americans in inner cities?
Quoted Text
"I want our next president — whoever he or she might be — to be somebody who is interested in African American's in inner cities and who will continue U.S. policies … that we continue to do what we’re committed to do as a country,”
Another example: Which continuation of U.S. policies is she referring to Drug policies? Gun control policies? Or policies as it relates to Islamic Terrorists in Yemen?

Nice try but wrong again. You should look up the rules of correlative conjunctions....her statement AND your examples DO NOT QUALITY AS SUCH!!!! To be correlative conjunction her statement would have had to read like this (for example): “I want our next president — whoever he or she might be — to be somebody who is interested, both in women in Afghanistan and will continue U.S. policies … that we continue to do what we’re committed to do as a country,”
JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!! JUST BECAUSE MC1 SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!!!
