We personally don't go to JJ for the 'great food'. I mean really! But like curry freeze....when they open....we all believe that is the official start of spring/summer. JJ is a great place to get something quick to eat....(icecream also) and walk by the water or watch the ski show....like a gathering place so to say. ALTHO.....we have a few friends who LOVES LOVES LOVES their burgers and fries!! So folks go there for different reasons.
Curry Freeze is set to open March 17 if I read the sign in their window correctly. I have to go by there later, so I'll check again.

As posted above, IMO, fast food is fast but not food.

Hmmm, drove by and I either imagined that I saw a sign, or thought I saw it on a day when I was smoking crack.

Ah, thanks. There's a help wanted sign where I thought I saw the opening date sign.

Sonic is coming to Rotterdam and they will build right next to Rotterdam's existing Panera Bread and Starrbuck's.
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
Dunkin Donuts really surprised me as being on that list, they used to make them fresh on site at the State St location. I haven't been there in awhile so I wonder if that has changed.

They used to make them in-store at the Curry Rd. store years ago. They stopped making them there long before they built the new shop. I'm pretty sure that they're totally phasing in-store baking out.

Most of the smaller DD's get their donuts baked, from another DD bakery.

Bank, fast food restaurant, drug store. Money to by the drugs to treat medical problems caused by shitty fast food. As John Mellencamp would say "Ain't that America"
EXACTLY. The only proposed new locations so far is in Latham. Another chain shipping the money out of town. Where they won't go--Downtown Schenectady.
Headquartered in Oklahoma, Sonic expects to initially reach agreements for nine to 13 locations throughout the Albany market. The new Sonic’s will come from a combination of new buildings and conversions of existing buildings.
“Our goal is to be no more than a 10 minute drive for our customers,” said Bob Franke, senior vice president of franchise sales and international development for Sonic. “This is likely to include locations in all 12 counties in the market,” he said.
Does anyone else think 13 shops in our area is a little excessive? Looking at the location map for Sonic they only show 5 locations in Baltimore with a metro population of 2.7 million. How will the capital district support 13 with a 6 county metro population of 944,000? SCH 155333 ALB 306945 RENS 159918 SARA 223865 GRN 48455 MONT 49899
The story also states “Our goal is to be no more than a 10 minute drive for our customers,” but then mentions scattering the shops with in the "Albany Market" of 12 counties? But if you try to space them 10+ minutes apart (Mc D, BK, or DD) throughout the capital district you would need more like 25-30 shops and still only cover 4 maybe 5 counties at best.
The facts seem a little debatable, sounds like those entrepreneurs who show up on the “Shark Tank” with their overvalued company concepts.
Based on that picture, it looks like Christine lost a few pounds. Although, she looks like she could lay off the 24 cut pizzas for a midnight snack.
BTW - Jumpin Jacks has much more than burgers on their menu. Personally, I prefer the grilled chicken breast sandwich.
You can't tell that's a man?
Of course, LIE and claim you like grilled chicken breast to pretend that you eat healthy after all those many posts over the years about eating pizza and all the fattening and sugary stuff at the government bakery.
Hey, the weather is getting warmer. Are ya up for a 5 mile weekday morning run? As you waddle from your attic door to the kitchen table in your mommies' house? Or perhaps cycling to your office, what do ya think?
One negative thing about the "spring ahead" is that it's darker at 6 in the morning, but we do use reflective tape.

Sorry about your bad experience. That's the kind of stuff I'm talking about. Oh, and Jumping Jacks, another place I avoid like the plague. I do enjoy watching the obese slobs waiting in line for a "first of the spring" helping of grease though. I'm pretty sure I'll outlive most of those folks too.
Bet we'd outrun you any day

They must have a broader definition of Capital District in mind (12 versus 6 counties). Maybe they are including Warren County (Glens Falls/Queensbury/Lake George) in the mix. McDonald's, Wendy's and Burger King certainly have that many stores in that broadly defined area.
Originally, the term Capital District, which dates back to the 1890's, referred only to Albany, Schenectady and Renselaer counties. It was coined by state and local leaders who were proposing a Capital District Police Department at about the same time that the modern 5 borough City of New York was established.
