| Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies. |

Yes, and yes. Zero interest loans, grants and tax exemptions. You also forgot the Biergarten and Villa Italia. Metroplex doesn't help people not in a position to benefit the Metroplex Board members. Golub and Mallozi, both board members, have been helped many times. |

Point of correction: Villa Italia is not a restaurant, and if they were, their financial incentives likely predated the point that Gillen made, "Metroplex stopped doing restaurant projects a number of years ago." So question still remains, "IF" Metroplex incentivized the other "restaurants", was if before their line in the sand or after. And if after, then the BBQ place has a legal position they could pursue (but would likely not succeed). |

Villa Italia serves food to people who sit down and eat there every day. Only half of it is a bakery. Metroplex will not help small businesses, because are the enemy of corporations. Corporations generate money off of the labor of others, perpetuating the ability of stockholders to simply finance their lives through the ownership of other people's labor. Small businesses don't have to keep corporate owners funded. Metroplex is used to perpetuate economic slavery by the corporate owners. Just one more layer of government protectionism that beats down any competition by small businesses or individuals. Corporate welfare good. Individual assistance is bad and shameful. Government= corporate funded mafia thugs. |
