I'm not sure the insurance policy holder can neglect to keep the power on, then turn around and collect on damages because there was no power.

Not sure what time the power went on, but when I went to Kmart at 9:15 this morning they were taking down the closed signs and unlocking the doors.

figure it out...you are the guru...poor planning on their part....not enuf investigation into who was buying the mall...the man had a bad reputation....

I wouldn't have allowed it...and I am just a lowly citizen....these people do everything in a comical way....now there is hardly any business at the west end...

Trustco, Dunkin Donuts, sports store or whatever it is.....so now what??????

Lights restored to Rotterdam Square Mall
Friday, February 13, 2015

ROTTERDAM — The lights are back on at Rotterdam Square.

Power was restored this morning after a billing issue with National Grid was resolved, general manager Terri Emond said.

“We sincerely apologize to the stores and the shoppers for the inconvenience yesterday, and Rotterdam Square has reopened and will be open normal mall hours,” she said. "Thanks for your continued support.”

Emond said the mall ran generators overnight — when temperatures outside dropped significantly — and no damage was sustained.

“By closing all the doors into the mall and keeping them closed, and with the generator going, we were able to sustain the temperature so we didn’t have any issues,” she said.

National Grid cut power to the mall Thursday morning after the owner failed to pay a large outstanding electrical bill.

You want the town to approve or disapprove sales of private property between 2 private parties?  That's a scary thought.

Remember, reinventing the wheel creates jobs.

Coming soon! More bike path and grass clipping jobs. When Macy's the Pet Center and McDonald's flee cut the lights. The current owner will probably sell to
Metrograft for a park and bike path. Ala Trustco on Erie Blvd which still sits rotting on the taxpayer nickle.
